A new morning was finally here. As the sun was beginning to come up from the horizon, the fog had began it's departure on the coast. In only a half an hour all that one could see was the beautiful sunrise to the east shining on the peaceful waters. Fredrick Helmsmann, one of the overseers in the mining operation had just finished breakfast with his colleagues and friends. "Nutz ick muste erför sicher dat se aup sind." To his surprise the slaves were already getting to work. Probably because they knew that it would not be a good start to their day if they didn't. Some of these men were more trusted that others, particularly Baako Otoki and Abuaker Fedhar. These men had shown great work ethic and despite being treated as normal slaves at first their effort and willingness to cooperate earned them an honourary status, but they were required to work. Baako Otoki wasn't in the best mood today but Abuakar Fedhar had reminded him by saying "Lazima tufanye kile tunachoambiwa! Tuna bahati kwamba hatuwezi kuwa chini kama watu wengi wetu na tunaweza kulipwa 2 Gelder saa lakini kama hatuwezi kupata fursa hii kuondolewa."

Helmsmann had returned to his cabin when he had ran into Hanjorge Scholtz. "So wie ging es?", Scholtz asked. "Bester dann ick dacht. Se sind arbeiten Hoimorgen samen."

RP Context

During the period from the 17th century to the early 20th century, the region which is known as Nova Achzön, in north eastern Demscia was colonized by Ninhundland. The Ninhundish Empire at one time controlled a fair amount of the east Demscian coast mainly trading ports, however the territory of Nova Achzön was held on to until early 1910s. The name Nova Achzön, is named after the Ninhundish province of Achzön. Originally the colony was called Neuwe Achzönerland.

Beginning in the 1600s, Ninhundish explorers, who had already began to set foot on Mediterra, landed in Demescia. Around the same time their Gotic rivals, the UKAG had began colonizing the northwest region of Demscia, however very little contact was made as they were on different regions of the landmass. The new settlement of Drachenburg founded in 1624 soon became a hub for overseas goods as more Ninhundish settlers moved in. The coast was dominated by Ninhundish settlers as the natives were pushed farther inland. Relations between the Ninhundish and the native Sifric and Roru peoples were good at first but quickly turned as many were pushed out of the tribal communities to make room for more Ninhundish colonists.

Many of the natives were not exposed to the northern continental diseases such as smallpox and measles and died by the hundreds of thousands through the 18th century. Some tribes from the Sifric and Roru ethnicies did survive but were forced inland and some were eventually used for slave labour. In addition many Naizerri were brought over on ships to work in the many mines spread across the hilly inland of the far western part of the colony. This created a new social device between the Ninhundish masters, usually hired by the government or general and the slaves made up of natives and Naizerrians.

To the south of Nove Achzön was a Syrixian colony and this was one of the first times that the Ninhundish has ever come into contact with the Syrixians. The relations were not good as many rich colonial masters saw their new southern colonial neighbours as potential slave labour. Contrary to popular believe their was interracial mixing between the different slave and Ninhundish populations as early as the 1730s. Syrixians of course made up a very small minority in the southeast and had limited rights.

By the late 1700s, most Syrixians were either mixed in or exiled and almost none returned. In 1816, The Ninhundish overseas protectorate of Neuwe Achzön was formed with some self governance. All foreign affairs and defence was under the authority of Ninhundland but the colony could now control its local affairs and development with limitations. Governers were always descndants of Ninhundish settlers and slavery still existed, as seen in this RP taking place in the 1850s.
