Hello!
I am new to the both The North Pacific, and NationStates as a whole. I have yet to be a member for a full day, however, I think this game will be really enjoyable going forward!
Anyway, what is to follow is a bit about my country:
Nocta Terra hopes to act as a 'Big Brother' state to its citizens, keeping guard & protecting them, well ensuring that they are not plagued by the ailments of a capitalist society. Our policies will lean towards governmental control and organization, well keeping social liberties relatively intact. As, success and strength are mere byproducts of a well-oiled and interconnected machine. If all citizens cannot rely on each other to not stab one another in the back, stealing, cheating, and robbing to try and ensure their family can eat, how can they trust the government to protect them? Our government caters to our citizens needs, controlling the economy and distributing wealth to not allow for economic gaps between social classes.
We are an island nation of decent size, with basically everything we need available to us, we do not need to rely on imports from others to stay afloat. With strict nature preservation laws, we hope to preserve our islands beauty for generations. Things like coal & oil are subject to public hate, in favor of renewable methods of power.
I look forward to getting to know everyone in this region, and look forward to watching mine, and the nations of those around me grow and prosper under our various political, social, economic, and religious ideologies
