Well this species is kinda special. Basically they are walking talking versions of animals we have. So furries if you wanna be simple. The back story can be that they were hiding in the forests of their nation and then humans found them on accident. It wouldn't be outrageous to believe happened as recently (if I remember correctly) that Brazil recently found a tribe that is real far in the past in one of their forests. So I guess that my species quickly over maybe 100 year reached where humans were in terms of tech and stuff. I'd describe them as tall. Maybe 5 feet 9 inches to 7 feet in height and normally really fast. Some can take extra damage but they aren't that much more powerful than humans. Besides that they don't rely on oil and stuff. Not sure what else is needed. I guess ask questions in the comment thing.
