Ahoy

Didn't formally introduce myself when I moved in last month (and just got the warning that my citizenship was going to expire for lack of activity, here) so I guess it's time for less lurking and more working...less ghosting and more posting...less...

...anyhow, Greetings from The Medicine Cabinet of THX1138, a 5+ year, WA nation in the game, and a recent arrival from a once democratic region, that is quickly ceasing to be. I go by bowloftoast in NS and elsewhere on the web.

As mentioned, I have been lurking, both here and on Discord, as a means to try and get to know the culture, the key players, and their roles. I recognize quite a few of the nations here, and looking forward to getting to know those I haven't yet met.

Enjoying the change of pace here, and the great activity. Really like the welcome process, and have had plenty to keep me occupied since moving in. I'll likely get more involved going forward, and looking forward to a long residence.

Edit: sort of unrelated I recently learnt Ahoj (pronounced "ahoy", just like the pirates) means hello in Czech. I just can't help myself and have to say "Ahoy, avast!" to my Czech co-workers and they look at me like I'm crazy. Which I might be. Also they're hot.
