The right to a safe pregnancy

The World Assembly,

Defines:

A newborn as a lifeform recently or just born.

Pregnancy as the process or period of developing inside the womb between conception and birth.

Maternal mortality as the death of a pregnant mother during birth or post days after delivery.

Disturbed of the lack of treatment given to a pregnant mother in some member nations.

Further disturbed of pregnant mothers ability to be able to access doctors and other medical professionals.

Worried that with not the right access to treatment, pregnant mothers and their children could be vulnerable to health problems and maybe even death.

Applauding member nations efforts in reducing maternal mortality ratings.

Hereby:

(1) member nations to acknowledge the vulnerability of mothers and their fotus when not able to access the right treatment and medical professionals.

(A) Member nations to spread awareness of the vulnerability mothers and their fotus face when not able to be treated to standard or do not have access to treatment

(2) Member nations are to allow the access of medical treatments and/Or medical professionals to pregnant mothers to ensure the safety during the period of pregnancy and delivery.

(A) Allow pregnant women to medical treatment such as ultrasonography to ensure a safe pregnancy.

(B) Allow pregnant women to medicine during pregnancy to ensure the health of the pregnant mother.

(C) Allow pregnant women to access doctors and other medical professionals to ensure the safety and usual development of the fotus.

(D) Allow professionals such as midwives to assist pregnant women during delivery of the child.

(3) Allow pregnant women to be given common checkups to ensure health is excellent for both the woman and the newborn child.

(A) Women are to be allowed to be checked on by a medical professional post birth to ensure health is to standard and that no problems are occurring.
