As one of the oldest regions in the world that is known as NationStates, The North Pacific is host to many nations, states, empires, and random political collectives. Each of them have their own unique stories to tell, their fantastic myths, great histories, tales of politicking and legends that don't really make sense. Many of these stories were sadly never to be heard by the inter regional community. Stories of the North Pacific hopes to change this, by shining a light on the greatest of stories written by TNP Nations.

The North Pacific Ministry of Cultural Affairs will be hosting the 2018 Stories of the North Pacific Awards. This initiative seeks to promote great factbooks, forum threads, or other posts that detail information about the national leaders, the national economies, the national militaries, the infrastructure, or the politics of the many nations that call The North Pacific home. Each week, the Executive Staff for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs will select one from a list of factbooks or forum threads that are nominated by nations of The North Pacific. This factbook will be featured in a number of ways: pinned in The North Pacific's World Factbook Entry, posted in our National RolePlay forum, and linked in the forum News Box. The Ministry seeks to post a winner once every week so get out an nominate your fellow TNPer!

You can nominate your choices by sending a telegram to the Minister of Cultural Affairs Yukkira. Just make sure that the factbook or forum thread you are nominating is written by a nation in The North Pacific, and that you include the category you're nominating them for.

There are five categories in our 2018 awards. These are national militaries, national leaders, national economies, national infrastructure, and national politics:

During my terms as Deputy Minister, I designed the awards for the various categories of Stories of The North Pacific and we hope that you feature them! If you are the author of a featured factbook or forum thread, you can display it in your forum signature. You are also welcome to add it in your factbook, along with details about when your factbook was featured and a link to the forum announcement.
