Candidacy Declarations: May 2017 General Election

This May, The North Pacific will be electing a Delegate, a Vice Delegate, and Speaker to serve until the next election in September. Any Citizen who has been a member for the last 15 days (since April 15th) is eligible to run for these offices excepting that plembobria is unable to run for Delegate due to term limitations, and eligible members may run for more than one of these offices if they so wish. Loss of Citizenship before the conclusion of this election will also result in loss of eligibility to run for any office during this election. A list of those eligible to run is provided below.

To run, one must either accept a nomination or declare candidacy in this thread. To withdraw from running, one must post a withdrawal of candidacy in this thread.

Acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy posted outside this thread will be discounted. Acceptance of a nomination is understood to also constitute declaration of candidacy even if no nomination has been made. Acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy must be posted during the candidacy declaration period to be valid. The candidacy declaration period is from (time=1493620500) (your forum time) to (time=1493879700) (your forum time). Voting will be approximately from (time=1494225300) (your forum time) to (time=1494657300) (your forum time).

This topic is intended for nominations, acceptances of nominations, declarations of candidacy, and withdrawals of candidacy; it may not be used for campaigning. Please keep in mind that lying about the election is election fraud, and that lying for any purpose is fraud.

I also graciously accept my self nomination for the position of Delegate, but even more graciously decline my self nomination for VD and Speaker.
 
I think that we will all agree that I no longer have the patience or tact to serve as Delegate, nor the steadfast devotion required by the Speaker to serve in either of those offices. I could easily handle another term as Vice Delegate but I think there are better tempered people for that.

Ergo, I decline all three and smack Mall for the nominations.
 
I would like to second Mall's nominations of me.

I would then like to decline Mall's nominations and my subsequent seconding for Delegate, Vice Delegate, and Speaker.
 
I am beyond honored to accept the nominations for Delegate. As a result, I must decline my nomination for Speaker.

Delighted to see Pallaith running for delegate.

I will not be seeking office this time, and decline all nominations. I was touched to be considered, though.

Several nominations by Mall are now invalid, as those nominees have lost their Citizenship.
