an Announcement from the Kingdom of Baleine

After a series of successful dates spanning the last two months, it is with great pleasure that Queen Annora and the House of Simonett announce Queen Annora's choice. While each of the three suitors provided well enough presentation, Annora was unable to make a connection with either Prince Alfred of Goyanes or Prince Hasan of Syrixia.

And with that, we in the Kingdom are pleased to announce the engagement of Queen Annora Simonett of the Kingdom of Baleine and Prince Marcus of the Monarchy of Guslantis.

Though Annora was obliged to finish her dates with Princes Hasan and Alfred, she was drawn back time and time again to Prince Marcus as the two began to fall in love.

The wedding of Queen Annora and Prince Marcus shall be held on the 15th of December in the city of Maaki in the Baleine Kingdom. The wedding will be a private event, being attended by the immediate family of both parties along with high members of both governments.

Please leave any congratulations and well wishes to the couple below.

The Augustine Office issues the following Public Statement to the Honourable Queen Annora & Prince Marcus Simonett.​

On behalf of Imperium Augustum, the Augustine Office would like to offer its unmitigated congratulations to our friend, the Honourable Queen Annora Simonett, in entering into a marriage alliance with the prestigious royal family of Guslantis.

For my own sake, I offer the hand of the Augustine Household in ensuring the good health and fortune of the wedding between the two. Recognizing that the couple will be conducting a private wedding, we have secured the services of the August Expatriate Community in the Baleine Kingdom to hold a reception in honour of the Honourable Queen and the Prince on the 15th of December. Furthermore, the 14th of December shall be declared a half-day for the Public Service, and the Augustine Household will attempt to secure gifts from the general populace and the public services in the form of charitable donations and patronage in the name of the Simonett Household. Advice as to preferred recipients would, of course, be disseminated immediately. A ceremonial handover shall be offered on the 15th.

On behalf of the Augustine Household itself, I shall on the 15th of December make an endowment to two Universities nominated by the Simonett Household, in order to institute a Chair of Latin History in each. One is to be in the Kingdom of Baleine, to be named the King-Consort Marcus Chair of Latin History, and the other in Guslantis, to be named the Honourable Annora Simonett Chair of Latin History.

Finally, a courier shall deliver two bottles of sparkling wine to a nominated agent of the couple on the 14th of December.
