Without a doubt the occupation of Social Liberal Union demands a liberation. Given the length of the stealth operation it is imperative that we take action before the raiders' influence accumulates any further and makes further action impossible. The resolution before us, however, is blatant invader propaganda masquerading as a liberation written by someone with good intentions. The intention behind this resolution is to further glorify the very same invaders responsible for the occupation, as evidenced by the fact the invader delegate was among those who proposed it, the author used WA status specifically to make this resolution and has ties to the invaders, and a new nation was created less than a day ago just to submit a campaign to get the proposal into queue. There exists a superior liberation written with the consent of the region's natives that does not give undue recognition to the forces responsible for the region's plight, one that a different campaign was launched to support but that was overshadowed by the more organized raiders. It is true that both resolutions will accomplish the same necessary end, and this is what the invaders are counting on to get this self-serving resolution passed. This resolution will ultimately help Social Liberal Union fight back and get them on their way to taking back their region, but it will also enhance the prestige of their victimizers and define the occupation on their terms. We have time to get this right and foil another attempt by raiders to manipulate and play us for fools.

For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote against the resolution

Natives support the alternative proposal, we can afford to take the time to get a different version through the WA. Without the urgency that some believed existed when this started, there's no reason not to throw this one out in favor of the superior proposal.

It's a very nuanced thing so I think it's worth hashing out. I hope this doesn't turn into a knee jerk vote, but I'm not well-versed in R&D and I tend to take the SC votes a little more seriously than a lot of other players. What are your thoughts?

Again, I say good luck getting the "next one" passed if you shoot this down. I think most people won't follow your logic, and what will ultimately happen is the preferred draft won't make it past the proposal stage.

I would add that the invaders have not passworded the region yet, and cannot do so yet according to our regional influence experts.

Hopefully by the time we send anything out, r3n or Asta or somebody will have chimed in confirming my analysis.

Oh good, without the urgency we have time to try a different version. Thank you for clarifying, I'll edit the draft accordingly.

I understand your reasoning, but it sells the WA delegates short. The current resolution before the SC contains a backhanded compliment to the invaders. It's as if a Member of Parliament, speaking in favor of the United Kingdom declaring war on Germany for the invasion of Poland, declares their horror and shock at German actions and then equivocates by complimenting them on the "well-planned and wildly successful" invasion. Let's get the liberation right rather than unnecessarily compromising.
