After the murder of her husband, Mathias Simoneet, the traditional mourning period has ended. Queen Annora Simonett is seeking a new husband, preferably from outside of the Kingdom of Baleine. After a long history of her family marrying a noble from the Eastern District, Annora wishes to bring in new blood from other monarchies in Eras. Despite protests from her mother, Annora has stayed firm in this decision, but will allow the former Queen Natalie to evaluate each potential candidate for Annora's new marriage. Should this venture prove to be a failure, Annora will search for her husband within the Eastern District.
Background on Annora
Born in 1985, in the early half of her mother's reign, Annora was the first of two daughters for Queen Natalie. Being the firstborn, she was destined to succeed her mother to the throne of Baleine. When her younger sister was born in the winter of 1990, Annora was entering primary school in Mira. As she grew, she was in constant contact with her mother, who taught her what was appropriate as she aged. In 2000, Annora transferred into secondary education, where she became more attached to nature and the outdoors. When it was time for her to transfer into trietary education in 2005, Annora decided to enter the Maaki University to study ecology, where she earned her Master's in Ecology in 2010. While at Maaki, she meet her future husband, Mathias Chevalier. In 2007, while still both studying at Maaki, the two returned to Mira to marry over the summer recess. After leaving Maaki, Annora practiced her study in and around Baleine until 2014. When her mother allowed the Kialgans to purchase Baleine, Annora returned home to Mira and live with and take care of her mother, who was entering her 70th year of life. After watching the transfer of hands of the Cetian government between 2015 and 2016, Annora decided that enough was enough and made her move to return Baleine to its former glory, overthrowing the dictatorial regime that held the Baleine seat of power. Upon restoration of the Kingdom of Baleine, Annora took the throne in place of her aging mother and became Queen of Baleine. In June of 2016, Annora lost her husband to a terror attack at the execution of Jasmine Hewitt. As Mathias was infertile, the two never had any children.
Potential Applicants
Any potential applicants must be within two years of Annora's current age (Annora prefers younger), and must be of nobility within their home country. Should the two decide to wed, the chosen must be able to move to Baleine and assume the role King Consort to Annora. While preferable that the applicant have no children, any potential children to be brought into the marriage will not be eligible to assume the role of Heir to Baleine, as tradition states that the heir must be born of the Queen and King.
