Wir haben aus dem abgrund zurück.

It was a normal summer morning. The clouds were loose cirrus clouds today and not very numerous. There were cumuli here and there, puffy like the cotton candy that Heidi had treated herself to yesterday. After all, everything had restabilized itself. The denazoification process was over. The Syrixian Empire had even 'gifted' the old regnal House of Bachenburg to its old homeland. The presence of the rethroned King, Hans Albert II, would definitely rein in any nationalistic radicalism left from the black days of National Sonacism. Heidi Rhein was back, and the whole world knew it.

The morning coffee. That was a must. Imported directly from the coffee farms of southeastern Syrixia, along with Esplandian sugars, today's coffee was a traditional morning cappuccino. Arabica beans, of course; Syrixian coffee was almost exclusively Arabica. It was hot to taste. Of course it was. But, at the same time, in a way, it was soothing. A hot chocolatey-creamy bath for the mouth. Heidi loved her morning coffee; it helped her get ready for every day. Today was more than ever one of those days. The Argent Alliance's transitional government had left the country, paving the way for home rule.

Two days ago, Heidi had won the election by a landslide. One day ago, she was inaugurated as Chancellor. Today, she began her work. Rhuvanland had chosen to be neutral in the conflict in Pelhafor. That was a given. But something else was brewing. First the long-standing Kingdom, then the 1933 Oligarchy, then the Civil Split; followed by the Federal Republic and the Nazos, until finally returning to the Kingdom. "Guter gott," Heidi thought. She knew that through all this, the Rhuvish had developed a saying: "In the land of the Rhuvishmen, what is over is never over, for the wheel keeps spinning."

The worst part was that this time the threat wasn't internal, nor was it obvious. There were only rumors, but if they were true, it would mean a danger to the Rhuvish state.
(OOC: Before I make my next post, feel free to congratulate Rhuvanland on the reinstatement of home rule. It will help me figure out who is interested in this RP.)

Things were quiet in the Palace, whilst usually the heart of the Khanate was a hub of activity today was almost unsettlingly quiet. Andrea sighed softly as she set Serena down in her cradle, quietly singing a San Antillan lullaby her movie used to sing to her, since the Rhuvaland War Sebt had been tenser than he had been in a long time but she knew she couldn't even talk to him about it because of what happened. Even now the investigation was not looking good, Ceren had been found responsible for providing Ein, the deposed former Khan and their father, with information he used to escape from his exile in the furthest reaches of the Antillan Archipelago. Right now Ceren was sat in the dungeons, her behaviour at the NPTO had gotten her warned but this was the last straw for her brother and the Grand Khural. She looked up and gave a soft smile as the middle-aged woman walked over to check the baby "She has her father's eyes definitely, thankfully she got her good looks from her mother and Grandmother." the woman chuckled quietly. Andrea nodded "I just wish you could've been there earlier Drusilla." "Me too..." Drusilla sighed, heartened to finally be reunited with her family and with her grandchild, but there was still a sadness to her face "I followed my usband into exile because I loved him but... oh I wish Keren hadn't been secretly visiting us so often... what Ein did... trying to murder Sebt as he fought to liberate the Rhuvish... theres some things even if you love someone that you can never forgive... but at least now I can be with my children again." she smiled, seating herself by the cradle with andrea as they continued to talk.

Meanwhile Sebt stood in the Command Centre, wincing in pain at the knife wound in his abdomen, it had healed in the months since the war but it still twinged, reminding him of the near fatal mistake he made of allowing his shock to get the better of him. Seeing his father, sword in hand, had phased him long enough to barely survive the attack, made further difficult by his eyepatch. He had hoped he would never see the bastards face again but now the Wolvesh people were frightened for the first time in their recorded history, a former Khan, removed from post for his dishonourable, genocidal ideas against his own people, was loose in the world and Sebt had to find him and put him down for good. He sighed heavily, in the last five years sine becoming Khan he had faced many crises but this one was too personal. He was regretting some of what he had said to Ceren when he learned she had told Ein the codes for the dock gate, he had never considered the others had actually missed their parents during their exile. As he reviewed reports from the various criminal investigation agencies throughout the region, looking for signs of his father, he felt history pressing more heavily upon him as he looked through the reports. He looked through the files, wanting nothing more than to put an end to this.

Emperator Antlerio walked down the corridor to his office. He had put the stamp on the removal of Nebulan troops from Rhuvanland a week ago despite howling opposition from Malachit's Socialist Party. Since then he had been informed that a few commando squads had gone missing within Rhuvish borders. Probably best to ask Malachit what he knew about that- odder and odder things kept happening within the Nebulan military, and no one he talked to was willing to admit they knew anything. Malachit had gone to Baleine for a "vacation"; Antlerio was fairly sure it was more than that but so far the AFI tail that had been hastily set up hadn't given any indication of suspicious activity.

The Xentheridan Government would like to congratulate Heidi Rhein on her victory in the recent Rhuvish election. We are excited to co-operate with a new Rhuvish government, ruled by their own people.
