According to legend, about seven million years ago an ancient fleet of highly advanced ships from the planet Kytheria went missing while it was fleeing from the final battle of the war that would consume The Empire of the Storm and was never seen since. Which until now the fleet was still missing until spotted by another fleet of advanced ships that came from the capital of The Eternal Empire of the Void, Kerianthe, which was lead by General Icewing who was 2nd in command to Emperor Kleon Cuthlion, leader of the Eternal Empire of the Void. When the fleet was found, General Icewing scanned the ships through the database to find any resemblances to other ships but only one was found with in the data base and that was the legendary fleet from Kytheria. After this finding Icewing reported to Kleon about his finding which when Kleon found out about the discovery, he immediately thought about the fleet that one of his sons,Aries, had always talked about and thought it would be a good idea to get the fleet for his son. So after Kleon had found out of the discovery of the fleet he sent a few messages to the captain of the Valkyrie Reborn since he had offered earlier to help with getting artifacts or anything out of certain areas. The captain responded and a deal was struck to get the fleet to Kleon's son,Aries, that had always talked about that fleet.

James Morrison, captain of the ISS Valkyrie Reborn, and his crew were in between jobs when he received the message from emperor Kleon. He figured it would be an easy enough job to look for a lost fleet, and Kleon was known to be reliable.

'What kind of dangers can we expect,' James asked, making sure to get all the details. 'Can we expect any security systems or a self destruct for the fleet if we start tampering with things?' He awaited the emperor's reply.

Kleon Cuthlion, Emperor of the Eternal Empire of the Void, was training when he received the message from James. He responded with, "I don't know really what to encounter on those ships. I am planning on joining you if that is alright with you. I might be able to see what the ships have for defense systems... I don't know much about them..... The Kytherians are a mysterious race. Most of what is known about them, which is very little, is only in legend. For the last 3 billion years that I have been around I never encountered the race. All I know is that the fleet went missing while it was trying to flee a battle that would determine the fate of the Kytherians according to legend." He then awaited a reply from James.

The jump through hyperspace lasted nine hours and it was a good time to read up on the Kytherians. Abby, the ship's AI, provided him with as much information as she could provide from the memory vore, which was to say very little. Basic facts like size, population, known wars was all plentiful, but details were scarce. There was only a passing mention of the lost fleet.

When the ISS Valkyrie Reborn landed and James came out of the ship Kleon said, "Greetings my friend. I trust that everyone is ready to get the mission underway. By the way I am bringing along a few people that I trust. My son, Aries Cuthlion and my general, Icewing. They are also interested in seeing the fleet." And with that they all boarded the ship after Kleon also told James that he was going to bring along his ssd, The Eternal's Storm, which dwarfed the ISS Valkyrie Reborn 100:0.01 and was in orbit around Kerianthe, just in case anything went wrong with the operation they would all have a place to evacuate to but also store the fleet in just incase the ships were small enough.
 
James felt a little uneasy about having such a large ship tagging along, but as long as he got paid then it wouldn't matter. He welcomed the emperor, his son, and the general onboard. He gave them a tour of his ship.

It was a light warship consisting of three main decks, a lower maintenance/cargo deck, and an upper command tower which was three stories tall. The top floor of the command tower was an observation deck equipped with a conference room and small lounge area. Below that was the main bridge, and below that was a fully equipped medbay. James showed his guest to their quarters on the first main deck, right below medbay, to let them settle in.

'As soon as you're ready come on up to the bridge and we'll lay in a course.'
 
Kleon replied to James, "Understood captain. I will follow you to the bridge right now so that way we can discuss the plan. By the way you don't need to worry about my ship.... she won't fire on an ally. She will only fire when I command her to. By the way I would like you to meet my AI, Abigail." Kleon followed James to the bridge while their AIs conversed about the two ships. Meanwhile Aries and Icewing were setting in to their quarters. Aries, who was in his new battle armor, was sending a message to his wife, Arinok, telling her to let the kids know that he was going to be out for a while and for them not to worry. Icewing, who had changed into his stealth armor, was working on a few cybernetic enhancements for Kleon's right arm which was still fully cybernetic. (Aries is immortal, looks a lot like Kleon, loves to fight unlike his father, doesn't like to flaunt his own power, golden white hair that is kept really short, 6 foot and 7 inches, muscular, fiery personality.)(Icewing is immortal, experienced tactician, longest living general for Kerianthe, Long jet black hair, techy, very calm personality, 6 foot and 4 inches, muscular.) (Kleon is an immortal, Longest living ruler of the Eternal Empire of the Void, Hair down to shoulders, hair color is a golden brown with blue streaks in in, muscular, techy, cybernetic right arm, has 5 sons and 5 daughters, 6 foot and 10 inches, very experienced tactician, sniper, stealth operative, historian, master of several unnatural forces like the force and magic, will fight when need to, aspect of the void, follower of the christian god, very cool personality, keeps promises, guardian, shadow ops leader.)
 
It was an odd situation introducing the two AI's (well odd in an amusing way). 'Abby, meet Abigail.' Strange how close those names were. Afterwards James lead Kleon to the bridge and introduced him to the crew who were on duty. His third officer and navigator was on duty. 'Emperor I'd like you to meet my navigator, Sariah.' Sariah was barely over five feet (six if you counted her long pointed ears). She was thin and wiry, her light blue skin giving off a faint violet glow, her finned tail curled around her leg to avoid being tripped over. She shyly shook the emperor's hand, her four fingers gripping his five, then she continued on with her duties.

Then James lead him to the navigation console where his helmsmen was busy. 'You can put in the coordinates here. This is my daughter Catarina, she's an exceptional pilot.' Catrina smiled at her father and greeted the emperor. She was tall like her father, but had a darker complexion.

'Ready when you are, your majesty,' she said, motioning him over to the console.

"Please just call me Kleon and it is nice to meet you all. And the coordinates are in so we are ready to go. By the way captain when this mission is over or sometime before I would like to ask you something because I happened to have saw your military record a while ago before the trip", replied Kleon to Catarina and the rest of the crew. Kleon then said, "Captain may we talk alone please? It is about the mission... I got classified info I would like to share with you."
 
The great engines of the Valkyrie Reborn roared to life and within seconds they were hurtling through hyperspace heading for the coordinates provided by Kleon.

'We can use the conference room upstairs,' James said to the emperor, and then lead him there. They sat down across from each other at a long black table. 'I figured there'd be more to this mission.'
 
"I agree with you on this.... a while ago when the fleet was discovered I had told my general, Icewing, to leave some ships behind to track the fleet. Now what I am about to say about the recently discovered fleet and the ships left behind is not logged in my empire's mainframe or anything and is not to be logged at all", said Kleon, "The ships that my general left were five super star destroyers of the eternal vengeance class... every time I have tried to log into their systems or contact the ships has be unsuccessful and same goes for Icewing. I have come to the thought that their might be something on those ships of that Kytherian fleet.... here is a scan of the ships from a prob that my AI launched from my ship, The Eternal's Storm. Also here is some files from what my AI found out about the Kytherian Empire and that fleet that Icewing found." Kleon hands the captain a holographic tablet that has the files inside. "And also with in these files you will find a report about the report Icewing sent me about the fleet", Kleon added while sliding the tablet to the captain.
 
James considered tacking on an additional fee right then and there. Lost contact with a fleet? That was never a good sign. He kept quiet though.

He took the tablet from Kleon and began reading it. 'Okay, this is a lot of information. walk me through this.'
 
"Alright. And by the way I will pay you extra for helping out on this", replied Kleon. "If you look at the regular scan of the ships you will notice that there is no sign of life or anything on the ships but if you alter the image to where you are scanning for something that is not living then you might pick something up, which is what it looks like near the aft end of the first ship but with the rest it looks as if there is something on the bridge but not much is shown with this.... I have tried other scans but nothing showed. And with the rest of the scans nothing is showing on the other five ships that were tracking the fleet. But If you want you can see what you can uncover with these scans after we go over the rest." As Kleon walked the captain through the rest of the data that he had given the captain to look at, he explained all of the data as best as he could but there were something that had confused him still even from when he first looked at the data before leaving Kerianthe for this mission. Which near the end Kleon went quiet as if trying to figure out something from the shakiness of the voices from the captains of the 5 ssds left behind in the recordings.
 
'Hmm,' James muttered, going over the odd readings. 'I'll have Abby go over those strange readings. See what she can find. In the meantime I'd suggest extreme caution.'

He then listened to the last transmissions from the five ships. It seemed odd and hard to make sense of what was going on. 'Did those ships have AI's?' he asked.
 
"Yes they did... they were some of the most advanced I have in AI systems.... but the crew was kerianthean and Lumericean my brother's, Alorka Cuthlion, race", replied Kleon. Kleon then got a call from his AI, Abigail. "General Kleon, I got grave news. Some of the ships in the kytherian fleet have reactivated.... The guns on the ships have turned to your location for when you jump out of hyperspace they might open fire", said Abigail. "Great, not what I wanted to hear..... activate everything on the Eternal's Storm immediately. I want full shields up before we exit hyperspace", replied Kleon. Abigail then disconnected and prepped the Eternal's Storm for battle. Kleon mean while sat back in the chair with a puzzled look on his face as to how the other fleet had activated.
 
'Well if your ships are still there then Abby should be able to hack into their systems,' James said just as Kleon got the bad news. He listened to the report.

'Looks like somethings activating those ships. We might have to disable them with an EM pulse, then investigate as to what's going on?'

James called up the bridge and had them prepare to raise shields as soon as they arrived.
 
" I would be careful using an EM pulse because I don't know what type of tech is on those ships.... Some technology can absorb EM pulses and or deflect back at the casting ship but I would have one on standby just incase. But I would advise a lot of caution when investiagting these ships... I am sure we both don't want this mission going to the trash heep", replied Kleon. Kleon then sat back in his chair as if waiting for something to happen or someone to call him over his wrist device.
 
While they waited, James used the intercom to issue a number of orders: prepare the medbay, do a precombat check on all weapons and systems. Standard military stuff. He also had Abby be prepared to interface with any open signals there were. He doubted these ancient ships would have any security measures against a Sindaxo AI.
 
When the two ships, Eternal's Storm and the ISS Valkyrie Reborn, jumped out of hyperspace the ships came under fire. So Kleon told the captain that he would go to his ship and take control from there. Kleon then teleported to his ship and begun bringing everything online from there and giving orders to send out the fighters to see about drawing fire from the enemy ships away from the Eternal's Storm and the ISS Valkyrie Reborn.
 
James was on the bridge before the first shot struck. He checked the readings and saw minimal damage. In fact the Vanhorn shield seemed to be absorbing the incoming fire. But there was a lot of it, and it was coming rapidly.

'Bank left, bring our ion cannons to bear. Let's try to disable the ships, not destroy them. It's a salvage op after all.'

Catarina brought the ship into position and the Valkyrie's guns did their work, pouring system disabling blue fire into the nearest of the ships. Hard points along its hull went off line and soon it was drifting dead.

James checked the Valkyrie's readout a and saw that their broadside has drawn a lot of power, weakening their own shields significantly. Time for a plan b, he thought.
 
After sending out the fighters and readying the Eternal's Storm, Kleon then gave the order to activate the Void gun on minimum power to only disable the systems on the enemy fleet and waited for the gun to charge.

Abby informed James that the Eternal Storm was preparing to fire its void gun. Now with a number of Kleon's fighters flying about there was enough objects for the lost fleet to fire out, reducing the strain on the Valkyrie's shields. Once again he targeted another ship with his ion cannons and within minutes it was likewise drifting in space.
 
After the Void cannon was charged Kleon ordered it to fire which didnt damage the huge five black eternal vengance class super star destroyers, which were armed with void powered gun batteries, a few super weapons, and about 4 hangers on each side, but the shot ended up disabling on the other ships for the time being which wouldnt be long before the equipment came online again from the 5 eternal vengence class ssds while with the kytherian ships that looked like forerunner ships from the halo universe would be offline for a while. The Eternal's Storm and the Valkyrie Reborn didn't take damage from the shot though because the shot was on low enough power that it would only damage ships around it and also it was enough aways from the ship. After the ships had become disable, Kleon gave the order to bring all fighters back to the Eternal's Storm and begin the boarding process. Meanwhile on the ISS Valkyrie Reborn....
 
James gathered his crew together in the ships hanger on the lower level. He was quickly prepping them for the boarding of the ships. He would take his three gunners with him: Petrov Androkar, Amanda Wolf, and Johnny Quick as well as the ship's doctor Allan Gray.

'Abby believes she has located the main command ship of the fleet, the one that's relaying an attack command to the rest,' he told them. "We'll board, followed by Kleon's men, and make our way to the command deck and hopefully reset its attack commands.'

The chosen group then climbed aboard their small transport and then flew across the distance to the Kytherian ship. They latched onto an emergency hatch and after a few minutes they were aboard the ship, weapons at the ready.
 
After Kleon gave the order to begin boarding the missing fleet of Kytheria's ships Kleon got my teams together and sent one to each of the ships then Kleon joined Captain Morrison on the lead ship of the fleet with Kleon's team, shadow squad, Kleon's son, and Kleon's general. We all had our weapons ready when we got to the ship. Kleon was fully enclosed in his stealth battle armor and same goes for shadow squad, Icewing, and Aries and their teams. Kleon then told Captain Morrison, "I am going to take my team with me to the bridge, I am going to have Aries and Icewing, with their teams, go to the weapon bays and a few other areas on this ship, I want your team to go to certain data cores of the ship that are marked on this map from scans of the ship... watch out for anything that might be moving on this ship.... take these, it will help distinguish our men from anything that is here that may be moving around. Stay in contact at all times. If we succeed with this mission I will have something for you.. a gift. I will still give the gift to you even if we have to scuttle the ship or anything of the sorts."
 
James accepted the order and with his crew in tow he headed off to find one of these data cores. Abby directed him.

The ships were massive inside, with large interior spaces that stretched away out of sight. James couldn't imagine why the rooms and hallways and corridors needed to be so big when computer systems were so obviously closer to human size. It seemed inefficient for heating and defense.

Their footsteps echoed into the darkness of the ship as they made their way to the data core. 'Do you know what to look for once we reach the location?' James asked Kleon over their communicator.
 
"Yes. If I am correct with the locations I am sending your team to there should be a computer or something in the area with the files we are looking for on it... I am wanting to find out what happened here. By the way watch out for any undead that might be walking the halls.... I have a feeling there might be some here. I am heading to the bridge with my team to see what I can do about taking control of the ship", replied Kleon. As Kleon and his team walked through several halls, they wondered as to why there was blood and laser holes on the walls and why several doors had been blown open around several of the rooms. "Captain I found something you are not going to want to hear.... There is blood and laser holes on the halls where I am at.... Haven't found bodies yet or anything but keep an eye out. Over", Kleon said to Captain Morrison.
 
The first data core was easy enough to find and with the aid of Abby, James was able to interface with the system and download the data on it to a mobile device. He let Kleon know and headed out towards the next one.
 
Kleon got James' message but couldn't respond due to what looked like a few undead down the hallway a few meters but he wasnt sure so he sent James a message through his armband saying, I think i have found some undead a few meters ahead of me... Still trying to find the bridge... Going stealth mode. Wont be able to respond for a while. By the way these undead are not Kytherians from what they look like.... something else is on the ship I think.... watch out for anything that could be in the air or anywheres else. Kleon out. Kleon then proceeded to motion his team to go stealth mode and see what was truly up ahead. Meanwhile over on Captain Morrison's end....
 
They moved on to the next data core, Abby's intel leading them through a maze of corridors. Petrov Androkar lead the way, his stiff frame silhouetted against the dull glow of light coming from the starships walls as its power started to return. He carried an assault rifle with a grenade launcher latched onto the bottom of the barrel. Behind him came James and Doctor Gray, and in the rear were Amanda Wolf and Johnny Quick. Quick carried two plasma pistols, both unholstered and swinging back and forth as Johnny kept a lookout to their rear and sides. Amanda was dressed in battle armor and carried an assault rifle as well, this one with a bio reader above the rifle's sights.

They moved quickly, keeping a constant check on their position. As they approached the next location they became aware of a load moaning sound. They came around a corner and saw before them about two dozen zombified people. Their flesh was so distorted it was hard to tell what species they had once been. The zombies spotted them and in an instant were charging at Jame's crew.

'Light 'em up,' James ordered.

Petrov blasted the first couple of zombies with a grenade and then he was firing into the heard of shambling flesh. The doctor ducked low and drew his pistol, taking careful aim at his target. All around projectiles and plasma roared into the zombies, bits of flesh blasting off against walls and floor. Within minutes all the zombies were smoking piles of dead flesh. James checked the corpses but nothing moved.

'Sir,' Amanda hissed, looking at her bio reader. 'Looks like we've got a large group of these things approaching from our rear.'

'Alright, let's hurry to that next data core. Let's move.'
 
As Kleon and shadow squad moved up to see what was truly ahead, one the undead decided to sneak up behind the team and Kleon... Kleon was the first to notice and shouted, "EVERYONE GET DOWN NOW!"
Kleon then lifted his pistol from his belt and a loud BANG was let of the gun, killing the undead being. After the shot, the echoing from the bang could be heard all through out of the ship alerting other undead. Shadow Squad's most elite commando, Kervik Holdrin, said, "I think they heard that Kleon because all I just heard after the shot was a loud roar from several areas behind us. We need to run NOW!"
Kleon then yelled over the mic, "WE NEED TO A SAFE LOCATION NOW! I JUST STIRED THE HORNETS NEST! UNDEAD COMING IN ALL DIRECTIONS. MY TEAM WILL FIGHT TO THE BRIDGE AND LOCK THE DOORS BEHIND US! MEET US THERE IF YOU GUYS CAN! ALL TEAMS GET TO THE BRIDGE IF YOU CAN! KLEON OUT!"
Kleon and his team started fighting to the bridge... mean while on Icewing and Aries end. They both had decided to stick together for this mission and by the time they had got Kleon's message they had already got the last piece of data they needed and Aries responded, "I hear you loud and clear father. Icewing, our teams, and me are on our way... we did find some survivors on the way. They need medical attention but are not severely injured. Meet you at the bridge. Aries out."
Kleon replied, "Understood Aries."
Meanwhile on Captain Morrison's end....
 
They held off the approaching undead as they finished retrieving the second day core, bottlenecking the enemy into a narrow hallway. As soon as the data was collected Amanda blasted a hole in the rear wall of the room and they escaped into another passage.

The undead creatures weren't as fast as them so they were able to quickly get away, but sometimes they'd run into a small group milling about and have to fight past, which slowed them down. The third data core was in a large room with three exits.

The undead approached through the same one they'd come through, and while Doctor Gray downloaded the data, everyone else focused on holding them off. Then they started to come through a second passage which meant splitting up, two covering both doors. They half expected them to start coming through the last entrance but the download finished before they did and soon after all five of them were running again.

'Kleon we've got all the data,' James said into his communicator. 'We're heading your way but we'll be bringing company.'
 
"Understood James. We are nearing the bridge and try to lose some of those undead.... by the way I have determined what else is on this ship. I am wanting to think it is a species that goes by the name of The Zerg. Their leader is the Queen of Blades and her name is Kerrigan. Sarah Kerrigan. She was once a human which are what the Kytherians were..... They belonged to an alliance called The Dominion. So we got a huge problem.... watch out for any strange creatures on the way.... By the way I got all of this from the files I have from Aries and Icewing. Still searching them on my way to the bridge. Kleon out", Kleon replied to James as he was running to the bridge while examining files giving to him by his son and general. They continued running for a few more meters when they found the door to the bridge which was closed which was unlocked. As they went into the bridge they saw huge computer systems that were still active and showing several star systems that are unknown to a lot known races in this era. Kleon closed the doors after everyone who was with them at the time was in the bridge and waited for James and his team.
 
The dash to the bridge was pretty quick. Only twice did they meet any resistance and so were able to keep ahead of the persuers. Tired and worn out the came dashing up to the bridge door and Kleon let them in.

It wouldn't be long until they were surrounded and he didn't know how long the door would last, but James felt better having more people around.

'What next?' He asked the emperor.
 
"We figure out how to stop these things.... I already have some defense systems online but-", Kleon tried replying when a disembodied voice said, "I was the captain of this ship until the fateful day the zerg asaulted our ships. Kleon you are this fleets only hope. Find Kerrigan and finish her. Repel her from this ship." Then the voice was gone leaving everyone on the bridge confused.
 
James didn't know who the voice was, or what it was talking about. Had Kleon said something about Kerrigan before? He might have. Didn't matter much now. Abby's connection with the ship had given them a direct link into the systems, including internal sensors and it showed a big group of zombies heading towards the bridge. A hundred at least.

'Well looks like we'll be making a stand here first.' James said. He turned to his crew members and started giving orders. 'Johnny and Amanda, I'm gonna need you to reinforce all the entrances to the bridge. Petrov, while we wait for our guests start laying out some traps along their approach. We'll keep the main door open until you get back...' He paused, scanning the layout of the bridge and checking what kind of a defensive position they'd have if the undead made it through the doors. The computer banks looked solid enough, but they were too far apart to form an effective barrier. 'Doc, you start checking Kleon's people, looks like some of them might need your expertise.'

The crew of the Valkyrie immediately got to work, going about their tasks with precision. James called up the ship and got his XO, Barbara Bishop. 'We may need to make a hasty retreat if things go south here, but in the meantime keep monitoring all the vessels.'

Then James turned towards Kleon, ready for the next step.
 
" James I am going to be going full power. Do not freak out when I do. I am king of the void and I am going to take on my full form. Beware of the void energy though that I will let off. Meanwhile hold the line. The bridgebis the only way in besides the windows. The undead will be followed by the zerg. Leave Kerrigan to me... The Queen of Blades, Sarah Kerrigan, is mine", Kleon said to the captain. Kleon then went full form changing into a translucent being of light and dark with golden eyes and gold light swirling around him and his white ghostly wings unfurled. Kleon then said in a deep voice, "Come on Kerrigan. Come to me."
 
It was something James had never seen before. The emperor going full power or whatever you called it . But he didn't have long to think about all this because that's when the attack happened. Petrov's traps started to explode and soon they were fighting for their lives. He hoped the emperor would be able to stop this madness.
 
Kleon then said, "Move a side. Let me handle this." Kleon then stared into the distance at the enemy and then the entire bridge started to shake and the power of the void started swarming around the enemy causing them to disintegrate but then all of the ash was pushed a side and Sarah Kerrigan stepped into the room she said, "Kleon your son belongs to me." Kleon replied with, "I don't think so punk. You are not going to touch him for he was not the one who left you on that planet to wrought, it was me. You attacked the Dominion and I am going to put you down." Kleon then engaged Kerrigan in a fight and then told everyone to get out of the bridge.
