Greetings fellow North Pacific nations, I am Guantanamo Xaverina Bay, currently elected leader of the great Democratic Republic of Aaaah Snaaaake. While we have long been part of The North Pacific region, many Aaaah Snaaaakeans preferred isolation from their neighbors even while we as a government participated in the World Assembly for the noble goal of making the world a brighter, freer, and safer place. With our current population having recently decided to increase foreign aid, I have seen my nation turning from its isolationist roots. Most of the nation are liberal democratic socialists at the moment, though our elections are so frequent and the populace so passionate that frequently changes. We are a nation that prides itself on our excellent civil rights, strong economy with great income equality so that even our poorest live comfortable lives, and great political freedoms. We are secular and yet also religiously tolerant, we pride ourselves on our beautiful environs and use of renewable energy, our education system produces great scientific advancements and medical breakthroughs, and our healthcare system is one of the best in the world. While many would think our peaceful nation silly and blind to the strife in the world, we sadly understand the realities of war and maintain an elite force of mecha warriors so as not to endanger life, and nuclear armament as the ultimate last resort. We are overjoyed to become part of The North Pacific's regional stage, and hope as a nation, that Aaaah Snaaakeans can make a difference to the region as well as the world.
