Description: RECOGNIZING over half of the World Assembly's member states voted against Caelapes in the World Assembly Secretary-General election;

APPALLED that Caelapes intends to force Communism on this World Assembly, Hence destroying the democratic process that drives the very ideals of this World Assembly;

HOPING that the democratic process will not fail us in the future and that after this condemnation Caelapes Will fulfill their duties as Secretary General;

Due to the contents of this proposal appearing to take this year's April Fool's prank a bit too far, we recommend a vote AGAINST this resolution.
 
Nay. This resolution, proferred just after the election, is the epitome of sour grapes. It is the natural outgrowth of a political system in which we are encouraged to dig in, to never compromise, and to obstruct at all costs. Our nation did not vote for Caelapes, and we do not support communism. However, they won, and won convincingly. They are now entitled to govern. Precipitous steps to undermine and curtail their leadership so soon after an election ring oddly familiar. We suspect that the sponsoring nation, The Grand Duchy of Thomas Branson III, may be led by US Senator Mitch McConnell.
 
ABSTAIN. The resolutions in the WASC these days are too crappy for me to care about.
