Hello! I'm CapLaPorte, I'm a new member of NationStates and being a little weirded out by the recruitment telegrams I've decided to just stick with my starting region, y'all seem a pleasant enough sort of folk anyway.
I've always been into GeoPolitics in general, that and history have long been interests that I've done my best to expand upon. In real life my primary interest is Musical Theatre and Improv, the skills associated with those are ones I've put a lot of time and work into, and I'm very proud of them. I also do some writing for fun, and though it's been a while, forum-based RP is a big part of my writing history, so I'm totally into doing that on here.
My nation in the game itself is the Holy Maltesian Empire, modeled similarly to how I imagine a modern Crusader state would look, I made it such because my various IRL friends who introduced me to the game all had their idyllic socialist republics and I wanted to do things a bit differently. I answer issues from the perspective of a pro-corporate, ego-statistical, zealously religious dictator who wants nothing more than an obedient populace, some corporate love, and a 'pious' existence.
I live in Canada in real life and voted liberal in the last election, contrary to the liberal vote my favourite colour in blue.
Well I think that's about all I can say on here without getting to caught up in myself, I hope to get to know y'all better and I'd be happy to chill and talk with any of you.
