Flemingovia for Vice Delegate

My name is Flemingovia, and I’m here to state
I’m running for the position of Vice Delegate
My track record is there for all to view
I’ve been delegate twice and lots more too
there’s hardly an office that I have not filled
Nor an election promise I have not fulfilled
I can endotart like buggery if the necessity calls
And if the region is threatened, I’ve proved I have balls.
“So what will you do in office?” you cry
I’ll maintain my endocount and applicants verify
And do all the things the Vice Delegate must do
But there are many who could do that, so why would you
Vote for me rather than others? Because I can honestly say
That I can be trusted if the delegate goes away
I’ve had chances to secrew over TNP and I have not
And that ought to give you food for thought
I don’t want the power, and don’t fancy the hate
I really don’t want to be delegate.
I think Lord Ravenclaw would be the best choice to date
And I want to help him fulfil his mandate
The security Council holds no mysteries to me
I have served in similar groups in the past, you see.
I believe in security, keeping us safe from all threat
So a vote for me is one you will not regret
I will answer your questions in prose or in rhyme
So thank you for reading and giving me your time.

If you were to be convicted of a crime in TNP, which crime would you most want to be convicted of? Why?
I'd be convicted of treason in a kangaroo court
By a rogue delegate whom I was trying to thwart
That happened to me once, I was convicted and tried
In under five minutes - my mark of pride.

What is your opinion on endorsement gathering by nations? Do you think that the current endorsement cap system is good?

It is hard to diss the current system, for it has brought us peace
We've not been couped for many a year and it's easy to police
With an active security council maintaining influence and such
I do not think we need to worry about invasion overmuch
Our biggest threat is from delegates who decide to suspend out laws
I'm not too worried about that, and the reason is because
I hope Lord Raven will win the vote and become our elected leader
and with SC, cap and a trusted delegate we will be a secure feeder.

I'm rooting for you Flemingovia, good luck! :D

Sir Flem, on what grounds would you deny citizenship applications if elected?
the laws of our region are quite clear and plain
And form the basis of my election campaign
I could only block the membership of a nation
After SC discussion and much deliberation
a failed security assessment would be the only due reason
And I would need to believe that there was potential high treason
Which I take to mean a threat or a plot against us
And then the whole Regional Assembly would need to discuss
I think such an occurrence would be terribly rare
So new RA applicants would not need to despair.

Are you satisfied with the current duties assigned to the Vice Delegate? How do you feel about the World Assembly Development Program?

Which trial was that?

I took a quick look and I see that you were put on trial on 19 February 2005 and verdict/sentencing took place on 23 February 2005.

Or do you mean some other time or trial?

Too hard to write poetry on my phone....

I think the constitutional duties of the VD are about right. Of course, any delegate will have their own ideas as to how their administration should be structured, and I would be open to being asked to help in any way I can.

I know almost nothing about the WADP.

I seem to recall a triah with INsane Power presiding that took just five minutes to reach a verdict. Of course. that was on another forum which i never registerd for and do not have the address. IP always said that I was convicted in five minutes.

Oh the thing that became Lexicon. Yeah, I never registered there either.

I would have voted for you had you at least made some effort to learn about and comment on the WADP.
Well, I am not going to lie to you or mislead you. I could have pretended, or done a quick read up to appear knowledgeable. Rest assured, if a sudden surge gets me elected, I will be up to speed on all aspects of the VD's role within a day or so.

I am still around to answer questions if anyone still has any. No question avoided, obfuscated or ignored!

I think "obfuscated" is a word that is not used often enough.

Would you support a bill mandating frequent use of the word "obfuscated" whenever it was applicable for use in a sentence?

nope. I do not think it is a suitable topic for legislation. However, I would encourage the use of the word, and use it myself as much as possible. It is such a woody word.
