Okay, this is getting way out of hand. It's been 2 weeks since any administrator handled any requests. There is no way that ALL 6 Administrators have been backed up every day for the past 14 days... And if that is the case, then new administrators need to be appointed. I'm sorry if my message sounds agitated, but I'm losing some NPA members, and I was really happy to see a surge in the number of recent applications. However, many have left as a result of the long check periods. I'm sure the same applies to many of the pending citizenship applicants. And in addition to that, I really need to utilise the AG staff already. As all of you are/were government officials at one point, you do know that having delays, especially for 2 weeks, affects how we function as a Gov't and region. I do hope that someone will notice this.

I second this, potential citizens are leaving due to the backlog and long wait periods. I want Tomb to see that his concerns are valid and if we are indeed backed up, what (if any) actions can we take to get some more Admins or streamline the process?

I'm sorry, both Eluvatar and I have been trying to find a solution to this situation. Given that neither of us can actually perform security check - because Eluvatar is a NS Admin, and I am Delegate - we are pushing for a method to allow security checks to be done despite the administrators having restricted time for them.

A security check takes between 5 to 10 minutes per nation depending on server availability, their use of the forum and the complexities associated with their ip address. Proxies sometimes don't look like proxies, and some ISPs look like proxies despite not being proxies (Satellite internet is good for this). Sometimes there are even Educational IPs which present themselves as residential - right up until you see "oh four people are using the same IP", which takes another 20 minutes to investigate.

I get that you're angry. I'm not entirely thrilled either but the fact remains - this is a game. Yes, it rankles me to know that my hands are tied in this - I cannot do these checks unless I want to face a possible court case later - it would put both the executive and the admin team in a questionable position were I to do so.

Again, I'm sorry. My hands are tied by the fact I am both Delegate and an Admin (while being busy in RL as well). I did not expect this situation - McM is away and was not at home last I knew, Punk is away due to real life (and moved from Emeritus to active at my request), Flem has also been incredibly busy due to the time of year being busy for him at work (his work) and Eluvatar feels it would be improper for him to conduct security checks given his heightened access to the NSsite.

In the words of someone long forgotten, this is a perfect storm. Utterly unpredictable in its occurrence and a pain to deal with.

Tomb - definitely understand the frustration.

I went into emeritus status because my RL is, for lack of a better word, a mess at the moment. I was able to assist a little Friday I believe but unfortunately looks like a lot of the admins are catching the RL bug at the same moment. It stinks but bear with us.
