I think I also need a change in usergroup, so that I can edit my own posts in the courtroom. I think THOs usually get put in the Justice usergroup.
 
The Court Justice user group gives permissions to see the court chambers as well. There is a specific permission set for the temporary hearing officer.. I may have to play around with this and see what I can do to make it better.

In the interim I'll give you the court justice user group.
 
You can give him the usergroup (which grants him permission to edit posts), and then edit his account to manually override the permission masks to be those of the THO.

On another note, can you please mask Almonaster as Foreign Envoy? Thanks.

Which forums? Any of the Global Mods and admin can unpin threads, and in other areas, those with regular mod powers can do the same?

We're probably overdue for a check to see if there are threads that need to be archived; that hasn't been done in about two years. I know some areas have been regularly checked and archived, but not all of them. There may be other areas where we still need auto-tools to assist in archival tasks, but I haven't look at that since I returned from my medical LOA, and so I'm not sure if all of those were done during that time or not.
(I'm still not 100 %; the weather here this winter has been brutal and it's been hard for me to manage medically in RL. And even though we've warmed up here today after a half foot of snow in the past week; the forecast has this area headed back into the deep freeze next week. So winter ain't over here just yet.)
 
This is not about unpinning threads, but about the admin announcements that appear right below the "New Topic" button and above the section header.

Judging by the forums where these two announcements appear, they were set to be visible only in forums in the "Tresville" category. I provided an example above.

You can remove them by clicking to view the announcement, and then from there selecting to delete it.

Our policy is normally not to delete threads, period, unless they violation ToS and Tou, such as pornspam, Other threads get moved to the lockbox that should be removed from sight because of ToS/ToU violations, and all other threads that are old or inactive or out of date should be archived.
In other words, old announcements get archived, not deleted.

Yes, it does under the special procedure for such charges which McM posted in the one thread in the Court area.
It's the one area where TNP law normally allows action first and questions later because of the security threat.
 
Merconitonitopia and Thelord444 have missed four legislative votes and have not voted in the last 20 days in the Regional Assembly, they should be remasked as citizens.

Alfiswen, Death777, Newmist and TheCarlagas have all CTE'd, they should be remasked as former citizens.

Announcements are not threads, and cannot be moved to the Lockbox. They can only be "moved" by being editted to be visible in the forums and subforums of only certain categories. I do agree though that such a "move" is preferable to deletion.

As I mentioned in my original request, there were two defunct announcements. Punk moved one but the other, "Admin Apps", remains. Can you please also move the second announcement?
 
Yes, you can't delete announcements but we have some "trash" areas on the forum where these can go without impacting anyone. I hate deleting things. I'll move the second announcement as well as that's just as dated as the other.
 
There's a redirect forum that also was set up when I was on the medical LOA. I'm not sure if that is still necessary. It does go to a thread, but none of the posts are recent.

I'm strongly suspect there's a need to go through areas of the forums that haven't been regularly archived since the last one that are going to need to be cleaned up. And some of these will need new archive forums and autotools.

Vilnoia1 did a really good job with these when he was around, and its unfortunate he left and didn't come back.
