Novrith Conference OOC

And I am ashamed that the East did not bat an eye while the Archbishop slaughtered thousands, and yet went on a crazy LSD trip of overexcitement and reaction when Guslantis was couped.

1. LSD doesn't make one manic.
2. Is it the policy of Syrixian politicians to use weird-ass analogies like this? :P
It proves the point.

I'm just going to put in that we were merely observers. Also, since we want to be aligned with as many as possible, are we allowed to keep our memberships in other groups (DU, NPTO, etc.) if we sign the Treaty?

For the moment only the five people the Sedera has approached during the recess will be invited to be the founding members of the Pact. This is nothing personal against anyone, but due to IC concerns on her part as to who believes most in the values she does.

It's also a bit of a power play on her part - this way she can show the negotiated treaty to the full delegation once the conference starts again and show that the Western countries don't need Easterners to decide among themselves what to do.

Alright. It's just we prefer to be non-aligned, when possible. Not East, not West, but both and yet none. We were neutral in the "Great War" and were among the first to actively call for peace. While we don't regard Eastern nations as imperialist, we do have a slight distaste for the constant war, although now that Syrixia and other nations are more actively committed to peace, we're forging stronger bonds with them.

You said you want to be aligned with as many as possible, that would seem counter productive if you wish to be neutral. More likely to be a World War I type scenario.

The purpose sort of is to create so many alliances, get on good terms with so many nations, it eventually bonds links between nations allied with Xentherida, and also makes it awkward if two nations that are allied to me (but not to each other) start a conflict.

Essentially, the purpose is to be aligned with everyone, yet no-one. Yes, I realise I have a very strange system of logic.

I guess that explains the Xentheridan monarchy.
