Lennart
TNPer
1- further the peaceful coexistence of TNP nations, 2- promote respect for civil rights and freedoms, 3- promote Avalonian economic interests abroad and 4- alleviate need and poverty in TNP.
After some years of self imposed isolation, The newly founded Foreign Affairs Office, overseen by the King himself and Lord Caradoc of Reynesse (Lord in Charge of the Office), declares the need to open Avalon to international relations and help achieve these objectives through diplomacy.
Important notes:
- The Capital, most populated city and seat of the Royal Court and Round Table is the city of Logres. For practical reasons, all foreign embassies and delegations will be located in the Alden District of Logres, where Avalonian Government is most accessible.
- Avalon is a small country with a population of around 1,389,000. Even with a frighteningly efficient economy, we can't afford maintaining embassies everywhere, nor is that our intention.
- Exchanging embassies with Avalon means a true sign of friendship and interest, expecting friendly nations to share our views about the four points mentioned above. That meaning that relations can be terminated if Avalon considers the other part becomes a threat to the region, consistently violates civil rights and freedoms or affects Avalonian interests or reputation in a negative way.
- Avalon ambassadors are Knights/Dames of the realm and they will need the assistance of two beaurocrats and two Avalonian Guards, any other kind of protection for the Chancery is left to the discretion of the host country. Expect the same dignity and protection from Avalon Guards for Embassies on Avalonian soil.
If your nation is a part of this program, that means Avalon is a lot more likely to get involved in future RPs, discussions, treaties or in-game events you nation is also in.
Candidates:
Not all nations are open to this exchange, and as I said, our program is not so ambitious about the number of embassies but about the usefulness and meaningfulness of our international relations. Our criteria on whether or not accepting a candidate are not fully disclosed but it's mainly about old and current relations, costs, legislation, and respect for human rights and freedoms (I know it's a bit unfair to use in-game rankings, but I will take a look at them. I do use in-game information as a guide, the same way I expect private communications between countries via NS telegrams. I'm an in-game guy, sorry if for some reason you don't have a NS nation. In any case, there can be some degree of negotiation, be sure to attach any useful information and/or ideas as "additional notes".)
