OOC: New Maps of Cronaal.

Felis

TNPer
Hey! Cronaal here, I was thinking about the newest installment of the Great War story arch and how it's based in Cronaal and I was specifically thinking about how Karandin was nestled into some mountains and then 'Bam!', I thought of a way to create a geographical map of Cronaal. When I opened up Krita, which i use thanks to SillyString, I thought of more - I wanted to update every single map of Cronaal from my plain base to my provinces and cities. I've spent the last few hours making Cronaal accurate to the TNP Map and also fixing up the borders of the provinces, city locations and a visual image of the Ganjar-Tyrath Mountain Range and the snowy North.

This post is to show you all the maps that exist of Cronaal now and to be used a go-to place to look for city locations, province borders and the like. I really hope you appreciate this map as much as I do, this is one of my favourite pieces of digital art to-date. :D

Original
This is the map that Plembobria tried to create after I gave him a picture of my physical drawing of Cronaal. Without this map, Cronaal would not exist as it is today.

Unfixed Map
This is an unfixed version of the map, meaning that colours blur, the sea still exists, islands that were removed are still here and unowned territory is counted as my own.

Original-Unfixed Comparison
I made this for fun a while ago, it made me realise the traits and character of Cronaal like the Bay of Buskar and how dangerous it would be to approach it.

Plain Cronaal
This is Cronaal, it has no names or lines and the only detail beside the landmasses is the blacked-out islands which belong to foreign nations.

Province Lines
This map shows the province lines, without the names. It's pretty uninteresting and probably useless but already shows the revised province borders.

Plain Geographical Map
This is my favourite map, it's so different to anything I've done before and it perfectly shows what I wanted Cronaal to be life - even if I did forget to do darker greens to show hills etc.

Named Provinces wo/ Geography
This is the plain map of the province borders with names, the only province I was unable to get as clsoe as I could to my physical drawing was Hontawei but it still looks quite unique. I had to essentially make this font myself as the text tool was incredibly blurred.

Named Provinces w/ Geography
This map is both provinces and geography, it is most likely one of the most useful.

Plain Geography Map w/ Cities
This is a plain geography map with cities, it allows you to see the cities and mountains better.

Plain Province+Name Map w/ Cities
The map shows provinces, with their names, and the cities without the mountains or snow.

Provinces+Name and Geography w/ Cities
This is the final map and probably the main one, it shows the provinces with their names, the geography and the cities locations.

All The Counties!
I don't know what Spain has but the 'provinces' of Añola are called Counties instead, to make it different from my main nation.

Mmmm Volcano!
This is the geography map for Añola, it's a little more detailed than Cronaal's as it shows non-mountain height and signifies there's a volcano in the north of Añola.

Provinces with names!
Yes, Kardonia is named after McMasterdonia which is directly to the south.

Geography with Words!
This map shows the provinces and the geography inside, Donde and Manil are both almost entirely mountains but the Pondarque-Kardonia is one of the lowest parts of the nation.

Geography map w/ cities wo/provinces
I wouldn't want to be in Matte-Turos during an eruption.

Geography Map w/ Cities+Provinces
The South likes it's cities and major-towns.

The Spokesman of Eumenor:
Very nice work. What programme did you use?
The original map itself, I'm unsure but I edited over the original with Paint.NET and the most recent maps are made with Krita, which I think is a great program.

Anyway, the Añola maps shall be added soon, they're much more detailed geography-wise with hills and a volcano etc.
