Official Declaration of the Syrixian Parliament:
-OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF THE SYRIXIAN PARLIAMENT-

The time for Syrixian elections has come once more, and it is customary for Parliament to invite Syrixia's fellow nations to contribute to the election process by helping elect the Cabinet Ministers. While the people vote on both the Parliament and the Cabinet Ministers, the latter's elections are also open to foreign leadership, with the exception of the Minister of Homeland Security, who is appointed by Parliament.

This is mainly in the intention of foreign cooperation and officials' popularity with both the international community and the domestic Syrixian community. The Most Serene Republic has already done this once before, however this time we have put together a more detailed election template, detailing the party and ambitions of each candidate. Voting will end on Friday.

Once again, we thank you all for your votes in advance.

[c]Syrixian Democratic Party[c] Alfred Nursson (Incumbent). Liberal. Seeks to improve all current Syrixian statistics, I.E. civil rights and economic power. Also wants to accelerate the Syrixian Space Program and start a Food Bank, etc.
[c]Syrixian Socialist Party[c] Dulo Pskov. Seeks to nationalize all of Syrixia's private industries and drastically improve Syrixian industry, whatever the cost.
[c]Syrixian Centrist Party[c] John Sirus. Moderate. Seeks to further Syrixian neutrality in minor conflicts and work for peace in major ones.
[c]Syrixian Nationalist Party[c] Joseph Asano. Fascist. Seeks to improve Syrixian military installations and make Syrixia the "Regional Police Force". Claims he will establish a "New Glory" for Syrixia.

[c]Syrixian Democratic Party[c] Auel Vist. (Incumbent) Progressive. Wants to establish Syrixia's own peacekeeping forces as well as establish an army lab to find new technology and improve Syrixia's arsenal.

[c]Syrixian Centrist Party[c] Lily Xi. Moderate. Wants to keep the Syrixian Military as it currently is.

[c]Syrixian Nationalist Party[c] Alyx Hatch. Ultra-conservative. Wants traditional Imperial Syrixian culture and old ideals to return, and wants to Syrixianize TNP.

[c]Syrixian Nationalist Party[c] Y'ttruig Jorgensen. Progressive. Wants to totally reorganize the Treasury, default on Syrixian debts, and reorganize the Mints.

[c]Syrixian Democratic Party[c] Kahaghir Dorinssen. Far-left. Wants to reorganize the Court so juries are abolished and a referendum is instead hosted to find a verdict.
[c]Syrixian Socialist Party[c] None.
[c]Syrixian Centrist Party[c] Joachim Fredriksen. Wants to have more laws passed to secure trials being fair and impartial, and wants to set up a federal firm to find unbiased judges for trials.
[c]Syrixian Nationalist Party[c] Donir Nur'Khall. Conservative. Wants to abolish juries, believing only the law officials should be the ones who decide verdicts. Also wants to bring back the death penalty.

The Balamb Chronicle:
BALAMB- Parliament has just released the election results, and following the assembly of the Third Parliament, the Balamb Chronicle has deigned it appropriate to release the results to the world. First, we will look at the Cabinet Ministers' elections. The Ministry of Justice is now headed by a Centrist, the ethnically Rhuvish Joachim Fredriksen, while Ross Jub'uy and Shaw Atlas maintain leadership of their Ministries, the latter now entering his second term. The incredibly popular Auel Vist has retained his leadership of the Ministry of Defense by an incredibly wide margin, and Alfred Nursson has been re-elected as well, again by a wide margin. As runner-up, John Sirus has entered his second term as Deputy Prime Minister.

Next, we examine the newly-assembled Third Parliament. Over the years since 2006, Parliament has expanded from a legislature of 100 to a legislature of 500, where it will stay. Following the elections, the Democratic Party gained a huge majority of 270 seats. The Syrixian Centrists' Union and the N.F.G.S. each secured 120 and 90 seats respectively. However, the United Workers' Party has not fared nearly as well, especially following the Great War, and its influence in Parliament has drastically reduced. The United Workers' Party maintains only 20 seats in the Third Parliament. This coupled with the growing anti-socialist/anti-communist sentiment among the Syrixian citizenry could lead the United Workers' Party to the verge of total collapse if the Cold War does not end soon.
