Dear Nations of The North Pacific:

Have you ever wanted your leader to have a building named after them? How about a building named after a cultural figure? A famous scientist? Well, now's your chance! We conveniently have five new buildings being built to house our five other ministries besides our Ministry of Information. For now, they've been named Thomas Buildings, but that's boring, right? Therefore, we are opening our polls to the region and we are looking for non-Guslant surnames to rise like these towers. So, with that, let's begin with what names we are looking for:

Thomas 2 Building (Ministry of Human Services)

The T2 Building is going to be the second tallest building in all of Guslantis, just short of the T1 Building's massive height. While the T1 Building is monochromatic in color, the T2 Building hopes to show the compassion of the ministry and we hope that the person we eventually name the building after is compassionate and diplomatic.

Thomas 3 Building (Ministry of Finance)

The T3 Building is going to be the third tallest building in the complex and Guslantis, falling just short of the the T2 Building. Of course, we are choosing green as the interior design. The person we choose needs to be bold and fierce.

Thomas 4 Building (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

The T4 Building is going to be the fourth tallest building in the complex, tied with the T5 Building. The interior is going to represent the cultures of the region, and we would like to name the building after a diplomat or organization representative.

Thomas 5 Building (Ministry of Defense)

The T5 Building is tied with the T4 Building to be the fourth tallest building in the complex. As it is assumed, the headquarters will look very martial on the interior. We'd also like the person we name this one after to be a military leader or Minister of Defense.

Thomas 6 Building (Ministry of Science)

The T6 Building is the shortest building in the complex, but a technologically advanced one. The person we will name it after will probably be a scientist.

So, now, the polling begins! Please submit your non-Guslant surnames (last names) and the Cabinet will be collecting your names and deciding on what we really want to name our government's newest headquarters. Even though the construction has only begun, these buildings will change the nation and the region forever.

For building 6, Professor Nathanael Stephen Barnabas Wiggins, who made the first scientific study of our national animal.

For Thomas 2 Building I request Ethan Archer; the Archer Building.

He is our founder and current Prime Minister. (That's me IC, btw.)

For 5 we suggest Malachit, after the current Emperator. Although he is not a military leader per se, his policies have been militaristic and he does have experience in commanding a large force.

Hiskjriaana:
Aðalgeir Guðjónsson might be a possible candidate for building 3, albeit a bit hard to pronounce...
(OOC: Is it the Icelandic pronounciation or the English one?) And "a bit hard" is an understatement. I don't think my mouth can make that sound.

For the T5 Building, we suggest calling it the Vist Building, after Syrixian Defense Minister Auel Vist. He spearheaded the Syrixian military during the Old War, the Great War, and the wars in Ryccia and now Rhuvanland, heading numerous coalitions during his term in office. Vist has already received the Order of the Falcon, Syrixia's highest honor, a feat that not even the Prime Minister has received. He is a popular public figure and a tactical genius and is largely responsible for most of Syrixia's recent victories.

Johann Niemza was the founder of the Niemza Dynasty and the first emperor/kaiser of Kannex. For any one of them; I'm not picky.

I could invent some sort of historical republican Kannexan hero as well, if you want to anger Kannex's monarchy.

For Building 4, we would like to suggest it be named after Eden Hall. We understand he has no involvement in Guslant history but the Cronaal find him to be a pioneer and should be remembered for his untimely death in Syrixia.

(OOC: Well maybe I have a thing for really bad leaders, because him and Jok'mey were two of the nicest men in the entire region.)

(OOC: You're saying this about a man who put an entire city into an experiment and caused the death of almost all residence. I have to say, they're only nice because I'd feel guilty if they weren't as if it portrays me as such. Anyway, enough OOC unless you want to discuss these people elsewhere!)

The Confederation would like to put forward the name Cora Alerentia. She is the founder of the Assassin's Guild of Kalti and one of the architects of the modern day framework for the Royal Confederation Forces.

(I know :P I use the Icelandic pronunciation, but the English one might be a bit simpler.)

At night, in the center of Pigletville, a crowd of people were standing in front of the Thomas Building and the construction sites of the Thomas Complex buildings. The Cabinet, wearing their Ministry colors, and the queen, wearing her iconic blue, stood on a stage. "Welcome everyone to Pigletville. Tonight, we have the honor of naming five future buildings that will shape Guslantis for the rest of our history. First, I'd like to hand the microphone over to Alicia, who will be sharing the history of her headquarters, and why we are naming our other five buildings after non-Guslants," said Leah, handing the microphone to Alicia, who was wearing an orange suit and holding a tablet. "Thank you, Leah. First, I'd like to tell you a little bit about this building itself. The Ministry of Information headquarters, later named the Thomas Building, was constructed in 2011. The Minister of Information decided to name the headquarters after Marcus Thomas, a former Minister of Information who led the reformation of the oldest Ministry in all of Guslantis. The building stands at over one thousand and a half feet and forty-five stories tall, being the largest building in the country. This size has been quite useful, as the building has been home to four other Ministries while the Cabinet was planning to build the complex, and we will be hoping to hold them until each one of these small little sites is a building similar to the mega skyscraper we see tonight. So, without further ado, let's begin. Ladies and gentlemen, the one and only, Thomas Building!", Alicia said as she pressed her hand to the glass building and the part she touched glowed orange. The orange grew, and soon, the entire building had the same orange glow. The words, "Thomas Building" were put at the top, along with a picture of Marcus Thomas.

Alicia handed the microphone to Pittman. "Hiya. I'm Minister Ryan Pittman, Minister of Human Services. Now, the Ministry is devote in really having you feel at home and like you know us. The person we chose to name this building after has a very similar story to former Minister of Human Services, Leah Charles, and we believe this similarity cannot be overlooked. This person is from Port Angeles, a city outside of the capital of Vancouver. He had to move locations to pursue his career, a feat also done by Leah Charles. So, it is with great honor that I announce, for the first time, ladies and gentlemen, the Archer Building," he announced. The small incomplete building glowed pink, as did the Thomas Building, showing the name of the building and a picture of Ethan, as the Archer Building was too small to project anything but color on.

Pittman handed the microphone to Baldwin. "The Ministry has decided, we love Beier so much, we're naming a building after him...again, ladies and gentlemen...," started Baldwin before the queen glared at him. "Kidding. We don't like Beier, and we're not naming it after him. Now, while we had some good candidates for this building, we actually had two names fighting for one building other than this one, so we decided we had to have both. This one is in memory of one of Cronaal's Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and while we wanted to name T4 after Hall, we decided this one would fit better with the man's name. The Ministry, not speaking for Cronaal at all, believes Hall wasn't afraid to die. I don't think that man cared if he died at the hands of such a messed-up order or not. In the past, this Ministry has had some corrupt damn Ministers, and I want all of The North Pacific to know, that Beier was not what this Ministry represents. Ladies and gentlemen, the Hall Building," said Baldwin as the Thomas Building and the Hall Building glowed green.

Baldwin handed the microphone to Tucker. "That was Greggory Baldwin, by the way, he never introduced himself. I'm Minister Jordan Tucker, and guys, I'm your Minister of Foreign Affairs. Now, this year was crazy. Am I right? I mean, all these wars and junk, you'd think some nation would be blown off the face of the region by now. Yikes. This year, however, we also learned to find ourselves in something a little bit more...scaly. Ladies and gentlemen, the Sunft clan lives in Guslantis, and yes, we are their allies and friends. Who knew that dragons could be such fun people to hang out with? That's why, in honor of a new-found friendship, it is with honor, to announce the Sunft Building!", said Tucker as the two buildings turned blue.

Tucker handed the microphone to Scottsfield. "Four Star General Nancy Scottsfield. Some call me Minister, but that's all overrated. Now, when I started getting notified of the suggestions, I looked at two names in particular: Vist and Malachit. I thought to myself, oh shit, if they're already wanting to declare nuclear war on each other, I'm scared to see what would happen if I chose one of them," joked Scottsfield. "In all seriousness, though, while we respect both leaders, neither really embodies what a Guslant general should be. We then looked at our third choice. She was the one. She almost reflected Akerman. You do realize that all of these people, even though foreign, seem to reflect Guslants, right? I'm not the only one, right? That's why, ladies and gentlemen, we named our baby, the Alerentia Building," she said as the two buildings turned purple.

Scottsfield handed the microphone to Reeder. "I think you guys see I really only have one choice here. However, in science, one choice is usually good, as the scientists at my labs will most likely try out all choices and experiment with them for three years. So, yeah, I'll make this short. This scientist was a real trooper, and so are we, so here, for the first time, the Wiggins Building," said Reeder as the two buildings turned teal.

The Thomas Building turned orange again and projected the words, "Thomas Complex", and a photoshopped picture of the six people standing together. "Ladies and gentlemen, the Thomas Complex," said Leah, as the people clapped.

OOC Note: Just to expand a little on what Cora Alerentia did, here is a post breaking down the structure of the Royal Confederation Forces (http://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=455340). She helped create the Ordu Oileain structure (with the Legion's, the Cohort's, the Seis and the Royal Amhran) which is the oldest part of my nation's military. When Tir na Andalucia and Callaici were added to the Confederation, the Whakahau Te Maunga and the Marmore Mandatum were created based off the model of the Ordu Oileain. Note, she was a key contributor and shares credit with two other people (the first Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Royal Confederation Forces).
