[Private] Requests for Review

Last I checked (which is a while ago) any justice can accept a request for review. I think though that we should probably discuss and use the majority rule or defer to the CJ so as to not cause undue angst if one of us (most likely me) accepts a review that the other justices don't want to accept. I think that will help things move more smoothly.

Thoughts?
 
I prefer consensus as well. There is already a safeguard in place in case one justice unilaterally denies an R4R. It makes sense to have one for opposite case. That is, if one justice accepts an R4R that the others would rather be denied.
 
Ok, so how about and this has probably worked this way previously, once a request for review comes in someone opens a thread here and we come to a consensus on accepting or rejecting the request.

At the same time, whoever opens that thread also acknowledges within the request thread that the request is currently under review to be accepted or rejected.
