OOC: Mercontionitopian Expansion

Wow...you do remember...that has been resolved now. Long story. However, it looks like we're on the other side of the combat. As usual, Guslantis would like to remain neutral in this combat (go figure) though Minister Tucker or Minister Pittman will be willing to meet with the leader of South Cronaal if needed.

So... basically we should sit back and eat some popcorn. I assume you're giving land away here in RP? Or... what?

No idea, Merc decided he wanted to pressure me into a protectorate on Steam Chat and I went from there.

hmmm... that might be a sticky wicket politically and how would that work with the alliance? Although it'd be an odd situation, it'd make more sense if Merconitonitopia was in the alliance.

Just thinking out loud / ooc

Well Syrixia PMd Merc that he wants to crush Merc into the ground with 1000 nukes whilst Bootsie assumes war and during discussions with Merc is seems like this could actually benefit South Cronaal.

I think Merc should join the alliance and then this would be mostly moot. (The problem I mentioned.)

Which one? If it's Helmebaine, Syrixia has other plans.

Like smooshing Merc? I think it'd be more interesting to see him join up and then maybe act as a reconstructive administrative adviser.

I'm guessing you're inferring that the alliance comes down on Merc?

I'm suggesting he join the alliance and act as a temporary political/administrative adviser and possibly lead a push to reunify Cronaal.

Maybe. I'll show him this when he get's back from food.

After thinking a little about this, I've decided that Merconitonitopia may join the Alliance if:

1. He chooses to.

2. He agrees to Syrixia's terms of standing down and aiding the South in other ways, without making it a protectorate. Syrixia learned that lesson well from Rhuvanland. Help via protectoratism only leads to MORE chaos.

On Point 2, that might be true in your case Syrixia but the Confederation houses two Protectorates (soon to be Free State's) that are doing perfectly well and in no need of the Federation's (Kalti) overreaching aid.

On topic though, my military will stand down if Merc stands down as well and helps South Cronnal in other ways without interfering in domestic affairs.

We're considering holding an election for protectorate status n the NS Forums as the people there will be unbiased, they'll simulate citizens.

Don't don't don't. Since all this has happened we're gonna speed up the Cold War. The Rhuvish War starts today and then Malachit steps down and Cronaal is reunited.

boring

See that's the thing. You already rebooted Cronaal once. Don't do it again. Politics is about adaption. A good example is Ixelonia. I created Syrixia as an autocratic empire, but I didn't like its very low stats so I made Ixelonia, a democracy with much better stats. Then, however, I learned to solve issues to get Syrixia's stats up, and today they far exceed that of Ixelonia. Ixelonia became redundant and I made it into an NPA puppet, however with my resignation it passed into the halls of the CTEd nations.

If you stay with Cronaal long enough once it's reunited, I promise it will become great once again, and may even become a regional power.

But effort ;c

The Alliance can help you along the way. That's what friends are for.

I agree with Syrixia (omg, is the forum going to explode?) the more times you reboot your nation or create a new one, the more times the canon timeline will change, which really is beginning to irk me. For example, the Eknorve Civil War. Yes, that affected Cronaal but that also led to the separation of Pigletville and the "death" of Akerman, and suddenly I'm supposed to pretend it never happened and now I'm as confused as Akerman on this one on who all these diplomats are! You build these characters that I truly do enjoy (Chester and Jok'mey) but then you just wipe them away like rust. If you feel that getting rid of your nation will cause more clarity, you may, however, I feel like it will cause more and more confusion.

I had a reason for the reboot though.

I have a lot of reasons to reboot Guslantis. Do you think I really wanted to call the Schnellerkrieg as canon? Not really. The thing was archived by the time I returned from my hiatus. However, my nation was built from ashes to become a jewel. Which is why my nation likes to use the name "the jewel of Guslantis".

See, Cro? Others have had the same experiences. :) I had a similar one to the Schnellerkrieg with the Invasion of Ixelonia. Unlike Rhuvanland I was a noob at the time and did not have the craftiness to get out of it with my honor. I had to just make the Syrixian Empire a thing of the past in order to keep it and overhaul my nation- TWICE.

Look where Syrixia is today. It's a tourist hotspot, with a super-strong economy and many industries to boot, both public and private; as well as a stable, democratic government with a wise leader.

The Eknorve stuff was my 'noob' days.

I must say, though, it was very detailed and I liked it. But enough about that. We've given you all the evidence why we can help Cronaal become strong again and why you shouldn't reboot again.

What say you, friend?

Technically it wouldn't be a reboot but I won't do it c;

I believe Pigletville Ball was larger. Only because the Eknorve Civil War was split into two by the year change.
