Regional Fair 2015
Hosted by Guslantis

The Monarchy of Guslantis, during the month of August, will be hosting a regional fair for nations within The North Pacific. This regional fair will be held in three large Guslant cities and will showcase not only the jewel that is Guslantis, but the entire region. While the tentative schedule is available now, we will finalize the details after we end the application process. Here are our three events and their tentative times.

August 1st-August 8th: Leader Summit in NPTO HQ Event Coordinator: Ryan Pittman
NPTO Representative and Minister of Human Services, Ryan Pittman will be talking to NPTO about renting out one of the organization's meeting chambers for this event, and topics discussed will be open to security, economy, conflicts in the region, and other topics decided by the applicants. If NPTO denies our planned meeting room rental, Carrotopolis will be designated to host this event.

August 9th-August 24th: Regional Showcase Event Coordinator: Robert Harrelson
Hosted in Miragea, GU, this event will aim to showcase every attending nation through a talent or cuisine chosen by the nation. Depending on the amount of nations attending, nations will have a day to show their talents to the delegations, or maybe even a few days.

August 16th-August 31st: Regional Football (Soccer) Friendly Matches Event Coordinator: Alicia Burns
Hosted in Pigletville, this event will let the region bond through the game of football. Guslantis will not be participating in this match, and as the host will provide the stadium in Pigletville (Westinghall Stadium) and the commentary team.

Talent(s) for Showcase: In light of the recent tragedy in Cronaal, we would like to present a showcase of Sadakoyama's newest advances in medicine and biotechnology.
A holographic presentations of some of Sadakoyama's unique wildlife, important artistic works, and archaeological specimins.
A guided telepresence tour of some of the natural wonders of Sadakoyama using satellite-controlled drones.
A showcase of the various food production techniques that feed Sadakoyama, including a functioning aquaculture system and a portable carniculture vat.

From the province of Marsei on our north coast: (OOC: essentially Provence, France)
Bouillabaisse: four types of fresh fish cooked in a rockfish stock with onions, tomatoes, garlic, saffron and herbs.
Tapenade: olive dip made of black olives, capers, anchovies, garlic and olive oil and served with croutons.
Ratatouille: vegetable casserole consisting of tomatoes, onions, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, garlic and herbs.
Brouillade: Chicken egg omelette with truffles
Fromage de chevre: Goat cheese
A fine selection of wines produced in the region.

From the East central province of Yushan: (OOC: Guangdong, China)
Full dim sum brunch or dinner: various types of steamed buns, dumplings, and rice noodle rolls containing a variety of ingredients including beef, chicken, pork, prawns and vegetables. Served with steamed green vegetables, fried rice, roasted meats, hundred-flower seafood soup and egg tart.
Hundred flower seafood soup: rock fish, shrimps, mussels and Napa cabbage in a stock of clam juice and chicken broth, seasoned with garlic, ginger, lemon grass, oyster sauce, wine, salt and pepper garnished with green onion and parsley leaves.
Fried rice: Rice fried in salad oil with chicken eggs, pork sausage, corn, peas, shrimp, and mushrooms, seasoned with salt, ginger and chives

From the southern delta region of Beaumonde: (OOC: Louisiana,USA)
Crabtopus boil: the national animal of Sadakoyama, limosafera cumcruribus, poached in large numbers in water with onion, lemon, bay leaf, and garlic. Served with cornbread, potatoes, corn on the cob, red beans and rice, and roasted vegetables.

From the academic center of the North Pacific, a selection of ramen dishes representative of the many, many noodle stands of Academy City and a selection of our famous lab-cultured cheeses.

Gravlax: Raw salmon from Lake Merrowmaede cured in salt, sugar, and dill. Served with a drizzling of Honey Mustard on a crisp corn tortilla.

Boyarin's Prawns: Crescent Bay prawns prepared in a marie rose sauce, spiced with paprika and served in a small pot topped with a suet and pepper-leaf crust

Donatan Gallopinto: brown rice and black turtle beans served with strips of chicken and red bell peppers, drizzled with a mild chilli sauce.

Ruby Slippers: specialty of Alejandro's based on a traditional San Antillan dish, fried plantains topped with a thick strawberry cream drizzled with chocolate

Wolfsea is unable to compete in the Footsball due to having no team.

Oq'dhi- A large ground beef wrap with various appropriate spices and seasonings to give it an unforgettable flavor.

The Miracan- A grilled cheese sandwich made with native Syrixian cheese and bread as well as bacon and various toppings. The Syrixian version of pizza. Very popular worldwide.

Mat Khol- A type of dumpling with your choice of meat inside it. The dumpling is made from Syrixian bread, giving it extra softness. Amazing seasonings are also applied so it isn't dry.
