Guslant King is Linked with Former Secretary of State
by Kyle Hall

Before the birth of who could be heir to His Royal Majesty's throne, the Guslant King, King Hunter Hilley of Guslantis has been rumored of cheating on his wife, Her Royal Highness, Queen Abigail Hilley. Rumors began to fly around the morning of 29 June after Hilley disappeared the night before and returned back at the palace early that morning. The suspected mistress is Ms. Madeleine Knowles, Hilley's high school crush and later girlfriend. Knowles also served under Hilley as his Secretary of State, and the Queen suspects that Hilley was cheating on her then too. We spoke to the Queen on the issue and she had this to say: "I just can't believe him. I loved him. I really did. He is the father of my two children. Jokes on him. One of my children will ascend to his throne. Not one of that bitch's kids, if she has any. For now, I hope Hunter gives up that goddamn throne. He isn't deserving. I know I won't get it, but Leah is heir presumptive, so if he gives it up, I at least know a sane person will run the show. I'm done with this interview. That will be all. Someone get me a bottle of wine." The Ministry of Information hopes for the best for Guslantis and hopes this is resolved soon.

The Khan sends his commiserations and hopes that these rumours are without merit, should her majesty wish some time away we would be happy to accommodate her in the Palace.

Syrixia has had a long history of being under a monarchy and if there is one thing concerning cheating rumors we took from that, it is that they are just rumors. Before placing blame on someone, it is best that the blamer acquire evidence.

NOTE: This does not mean we are defending His Majesty OR Her Majesty. Syrixia has deemed it apropos to stand neutral in this issue.

When asked for their stance on the matter, das Aussenministerium of the Kannexan Reich commented, "It is not our business to comment on the internal affairs of a nation, much less a family matter."

The video of the interview is played all over Funkadelian television, with popular comedians and night show hosts using it as a source of cheap humor, pointing out her hilariously slurred speech the incredible fact that the Queen's handlers allowed her to do an interview while totally smashed.

The video likewise spreads like wildfire over Sadakoyama's social networks for its superficial humor value and, along with the destruction of Smithworks, is appreciated as yet more colloquial evidence of the utter folly of investing political power in a single person, especially based on ridiculous criteria such as accident of birth.

The video also spreads like wildfire through Syrixia, with many comedy shows doing skits around it. The video is also used in a documentary called "The Incestuous Mess of Monarchies" produced by a privately-owned television network. The documentary concerns the folly of monarchies and how they were doomed from the start. It details the fall of many monarchies worldwide such as the famous assassination of Syrixian Emperor Senlok II and the Crilalian Crisis in Plembobria. The documentary ends by going back to the Guslant scandal, saying how it shows the folly of monarchies and predicting the fall of the Kingdom of Guslantis. Videos and documentaries detailing this subject become so viral in Syrixia that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture comes out before the public at Parliament Hall, making a speech saying that the content does not represent the views of the Syrixian government.

The people of Wolfsea were somewhat confused, bewildered as to how a Queen could appear in such a state but many felt pity for Abigail. In Wolfsea it was unheard of to cheat on ones spouse let alone be cheated on. The Khan thought of the agony of being separated from his wife Andrea during her pregnancy, she was close to giving birth to their daughter so her seclusion would soon be over but he too was utterly bewildered as to how any husband could betray his partner of vice-versa. He was also somewhat disgusted by people choosing to attack an easy target, a woman who could well have lost her husband and possibly be a single mother as well as a world leader. It was something his Grandfather had taught him about when he was younger. Democracies had something of an arrogance when it came to their system, they made being a leader some sort of prize that was available to anyone regardless of actual ability as opposed to a position of supreme responsibility that only somebody who had been properly prepared from birth could shoulder. He recalled easily how other children played while he spent every second studying and training to be a leader, what he had could hardly even be called a childhood but it had made him a good leader and he wouldn't have had it any other way, his people trusted him and, while his peacekeeping agenda had raised eyebrows, he would do all within his power to serve them well. He wondered if Abigail would take his invitation, a break and change of scenery would help somewhat.

Our Xentheridan government too is saddened by these accusations of an affair, and too hopes that these accusations are groundless. We support Queen Abigail Hilley, and offer our assistance to her in this dire situation.

Christian III himself personally censured Sadakoyama for their harsh criticism on monarchies. "While they may have distaste in the way that a country is ruled, they have no right to offend other nations, and should show respect. Would they appreciate it if we openly mocked their excessive amount of restrictions, and utter lack of welfare? I also denounce them for the callous attack on the dire event of the destruction of Smithworks, for which, realistically, the factor that Cronaal was an absolute monarchy was merely coincidental. Any other high-ranking official-or even a terrorist- could have sneaked down there and detonated the bomb."

OOC: Xen, you do not have the ability to sue companies in other countries that broadcast these programs.

A communique is forwarded to the office of Christian III on behalf of the director of the Department of International Studies:
"It is hoped that it is understood that Sadakoyama places little restriction on the free personal expression of its people. As well, we are an unsentimental culture; neither do we recognise nor respect a "right" to not be offended. One may find fault with our "callous" attitude towards the many inherent institutional failures that led to Smithfield, but we would remind the Xentheridan people, their government, and their leaders that Sadakoyama has not only constructed a hospital complex for the express purpose of treating, at our own expense, the survivors of the atrocity, but have set up Arcadia Bay as a sanctuary for the refugees of Rhuvan, Cronaal, and anyone else fleeing the insidious and persistent conflicts plaguing the subjects of those privileged few leading their own nations to ruin."

Nebula agrees with the government of Sadakoyama. Individual rights are very important and should not be restricted unless a very good reason is given. The reputation of a foreign monarch to the Nebulan people is trivial in comparison to the things that are usually banned.

A reply was sent back to the sending address almost instantly, and was clearly written in a moment of fury.
"This had absolutely nothing to do with medical aid for survivors, and is completely unrelated. My anger is of your attribution of the destruction of an entire capital city-a truly terrible event- merely to the governmental system. As I previously stated, the monarch was not exclusively allowed, and indeed, any well-planned terrorist attack could have triggered this event. In the mean time, I would like to redact my sentence about right- it was the wrong word to choose for the phrasing. In the mean time, I do respect your views and free speech, but to publicly shame an entire group simply for humour values is incredibly crass. Indeed, insulting any other group or single person in a mocking way could easily be attributed to the common five-year-old, or anyone with a similar amount of maturity."

"Sadakoyama would like to advise the Xenthridan representative that dark humor is common in Sadakoyama and is frequently employed to assuage feelings of sorrow, outrage, and frustration that needless tragedies such as Smithworks engender. We do not allow emotional thinking to affect our actions, but this does not mean we do not feel.

Whatever hypotheticals one may offer, it is generally known the Cronaali monarch, acting alone, was able to vent her personal grief and despair by detonating a nuclear device without any oversight or safety protocols. Likewise, our study of history and social systems has repeatedly shown that those nations that hold on to obsolete social or political structures in the name of tradition travel on a similarly inherently destructive course. As example, Syrixia and Nebula are busy detonating nuclear devices and playing a at game of brinksmanship for pointless political gain to the apparent end of going the way of Smithworks.

Sadakoyama is a beacon of civilization. These savage countries, not so enlightened, disturb us greatly as we try to work to ensure a safer universe, so that everyone may someday enjoy the comfort and enlightenment of true civilization.

Our dedication to science had given us so many social and medical advancements that we can bring to the North Pacific, to the world, yet we try not to interfere. People don't like to be meddled with. We cannot tell people what to think; force just breed resistance. We're just trying to show them how.

In the face of this, we hope that Mr. Charles can forgive the Sadakhan people their sardonic humour as an expression for frustration instead of contempt."

Guslant King Gives up Guslant Throne; NPTO Representative is Crowned new Guslant Queen
by Ayuda

After a scandal that has shocked all of Guslantis, the King, even though no evidence has been found against him, announced today that he will be stepping down from the throne for "personal reasons". As heir presumptive, Leah Charles, Minister of Human Services, will become Queen, replacing Hilley as Head-of-State. Charles will rule Guslantis until Hilley's oldest son, Sean Hilley is old enough to rule Guslantis on his own. The announcement had mixed reactions, with some cheering at his decision, having help cause the Schenellerkrieg, while others saw it as a loss of a good Guslant leader. Though her coronation will be in the coming days, Charles already laid out her plans for the Cabinet in a press conference. "First, I will obviously not be holding my position as Minister of Human Services while Queen, so I will be appointing Ryan Pittman of Pigletville to replace me. He's a great guy and one of my dearest friends. Ryan has what it takes to be Minister. I will also be replacing Kyle Hall as Minister of Information, as there is only one person I see in that position, the face of Guslantis and the Spokeswoman of the GusNet: Alicia Burns. The last position I am replacing is that of Minister of Defense. Emily is a great general, and will stay as leader of the Guslantis Armed Forces, but she is not a diplomat. Therefore, I am appointing Nancy Scottsfield as Minister of Defense because I know she is a strong-willed diplomat that will guide us militarily. I will also announce that Abigail, though very much near the birth of her second child, will be escorted to Wolfsea under close supervision of her doctors to make sure that she is in the best care. Thank you, and I hope to soon be your Queen!" Charles' coronation is planned for the sixth, and all nation leaders are invited to attend.

This information has been provided by the Ministry of Information, which is led by Kyle Hall and headquartered in the Thomas Building.

Das Aussenministerium of the Kannexan Reich congratulates Her Majesty Queen Leah Charles on ascending the throne and wishes an era of good health, prosperity, and peace. His Majesty Kaiser Franz will attend Her Majesty's coronation with his family.

"While unable to attend the coronation due to the oncoming birth of his own first child, The Khan extends his best wishes to Queen Leah and hopes to further strengthen our relations with Guslantis over the coming years. Wolfsea will be represented by Elder Lycaeus at the Coronation."

Sebt handed the note to one of his adjutants, the fact was that Andrea could give birth at any minute, he had been anxiously watching the clock, almost willing his child into the world "Still, Grandfather will doubtless enjoy representing Wolfsea again." staring at the photograph taken not long after his ascension, it was an interesting picture to say the least, Andrea looking beautiful as ever while her father, Alejandro, had pulled on a dark suit but had found a rather garish tie to reflect his usual Hawaiian style shirt while her mother marie was rather more conservatively dressed in a light pink ladies suit, on the other side was Lycaeus, hints of the former jet colouration of his hair could be seen in the tall, thin former Khan but next to him was Sebt's other grandfather, the imposing bear-like "Bofurs" Bors Garvin, he found it almost comical seeing the two together but both, along with Goltah, had guided him well. He gave a soft smile and immediately went to check on Abigails rooms, he had outfitted them as best he could to offer full comforts, often the guest rooms were the most lavish in the palace. He had also seen to it the medical staff would be well accommodated also, he considered for a moment, while Abigail would probably be more interested in resting he would doubtless be expected to show her around Wolfsea, or at least Cresentmaw. He began thinking of the best places she might wish to see.
