The Nautical Pacific

I wasn't aware that such a festival was going on. Awkward.

I have not seen any mention of this in any places I have access. I have only just seen the fact this festival has been on since June 18th in TSP.

The information was first sent to me and Elu. As I said, I have been trying to get him to send a mass PM about it.

Why couldn't you send a mass PM?

Cascadia, please come to irc at your first opportunity.

Yeah, over in TSP it's kinda sad, the only people who have showed up there just for the festival are Syrixia and Ceretis, and maybe Cascadia (I'm not sure exactly).

Cabinet only became aware of this event yesterday evening.

I've apologised to TSPs Delegate Tsunamy for us not being more involved, citing the above. I've also spoken to their Director of Seasonal Events.

And Elu has sent out a PM. A bit late if you ask me, most of the festivities are winding down already.

Unavoidable, tbh, if cabinet isn't even told it's going on, especially our Minister of Foreign Affairs who should have input in these kinds of things.

Minister Feirmont of The South Pacific has told me that he's extending the Event until Friday.

Nierr:
Has he told you who organised this on our side?
As far as I am aware, this was solely organised by The South Pacific. Information was sent to Cascadia and Eluvatar but for various reasons, didn't go any further until this afternoon.

I am rather embarrassed that this has occurred. Minister Cascadia has assured me that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Executive Council will be better informed in future to allow us to plan accordingly. We cannot rely on Eluvatar to do everything, and as Ministers we should be proactive in carrying out the aims and objectives of our respective offices.

Is there any record of correspondence prior to the setting up of this festival?

To be more explicit, did anyone in TSP ask anyone from TNP - especially someone in power - if TNP would like to do a joint cultural event?

I believe this is a remnant from last term (TSP) when plans were made. Unfortunately timing, schedules and government changes made it rather difficult to achieve.

I don't remember Cascadia or Elu or anybody telling me about the festival; I found it when I was browsing regions out of boredom and saw there was some sort of a TNP-TSP thing going on on their WFE.

From what I can gather from the varying accounts I've heard it seems that TSP decided to have an event for us all on their own.

Which is nice, I suppose.
