Basically you just need to create an identity for your nation. Figure out what it's like, how it looks, who runs it, what are their personalities. Try to make sure you're not overlapping with other nation's existing characters and RP.

Get your country on the map.

Next find some easy RP story to get involved in, steer clear of RPs that are in a critical moment or ending for your first posts. Once you get the feel you'll know how to jump into those later.
