A Fleming-Lyons L42-E jet carrying Plembobria's DU representative, Winston Schneider and seven staff members has disappeared. It is believed to have crashed.

The plane was last seen on Andulan and David Land radar. The governments of these countries have yet release statements on the matter. The plane was only a few hundred miles out from the Democratic Union headquarters when it disappeared.

The proposed location of the disappearance​

Prime Minister Briggs stated that an investigation will begin. "We will not tire until we discovered the fate of our valued civil servant." The PM also offered her condolences to the family of Mr. Schneider. A royal proclamation was issued requesting that all Plembobrian flags be flown at half staff.

The navy will begin a search for the remains of the flight in the southern sea. The ever crucial black boxes will of course be a priority. A spokesperson for the navy also stated that they will attempt to find the bodies of the victims and return them to their respective families.

So far the government has not asked for any international assistance. A new representative to the Democratic Union is yet to be appointed.

The Khan offers his commiserations and is willing to immediately launch the AWV Corsair (an advanced command vessel designed to lead pirate-hunting wolf pack flotillas) to act as a mobile command and communications centre for the duration of the search. Naturally we will have quarters prepared for Plembobrian personnel but they are somewhat Spartan.

The United States of Thatchertropolis government offers resistance consisting of several ships, C-130s, and a submarine to help find the missing jet. If the jet is confirmed to have crashed, then Thatchertropolis will commission its Navy to help recover wreckage.

The government of United Llamas has offered its navy and airforce to help with the search of the victims. All planes and carriers are ready and are at stand-by, and are waiting for Plemborian approval on their mission. Please tell Mr. Schneider's family that all Llamas are at their service and the whole country of United Llamas mourn for your loss. Please inform Pres. Kimchi Bubba when the service is...

Wreckage Found, investigation ensues​

The wreckage of the plane which disappeared May 22nd has been found scattered off the Coast of East Andulus, near the DU island.

The Royal Navy has refused to state whether any bodies have been found.

The Ministry of Transportation's Air Safety Agency will begin an investigation on the cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, several nations governments have offered their condolences regarding the death of Winston Schneider. Many offered to assist in the investigation, but their offers were rejected.

A spokesperson for the Syrixian government stated that "we do sincerely hope the investigation is successful and we send our greatest condolences following the death of Mr. Schneider," the Secretary of State of United Llamas said to "please tell Mr. Schneider's family that all Llamas are at their service and the whole country of United Llamas mourn for your loss." The Khan of Wolfsea offered his commiserations as well. Alex Silverson, the Daliad Delegation to the DU expressed his own grief saying, "I worked with Mr. Winston Schneider and considered him a fine friend in the DU. His death came too early and my deepest sympathy goes out to his family and the nation of Plembobria." He further went on the say that the flags at the DU headquarters would be flown at half mast.

The whole country of United Llamas again mourns for your loss. We have picked up some information on why the plane has crashed, we heard some mysterious commotion at the main airport of United Llamas, the plane carrying the DU Representative went into "the shop" for foreign inspection, and they found something had fallen off on the right wing, but was replaced. It took two days for the part to arrive, just in time for its next departure back to Plembobria, to pick up the DU Representative, Mr. Schneider. That could be a cause of the crash. It might not be a cause of the crash, because United Llamas prides its self on their airports, one of the best in TNP. Sorry if that sounded like bragging United Llamas has never had an accident, deliberately or accidentally. We have no information on the pilots of this flight.

To: The Cabinet c/o Prime Minister Ivan Nelson
Subject: Plan for the [bgcolor=#000]eventual independence[/bgcolor] of the Hardish Bay Colony

Since the plan to hold a plebiscite regarding the future of Hardish Bay has been agreed to, I feel I must offer my recommendations on the matter.

Polling indicates that independence is likely to be the outcome of the referendum. The conditions for independence must be as follows:

Firstly, Hardish Bay (to be renamed Hardisia) will become a dominion sharing personal union with the Kingdom of Plembobria. The Head of State will be a Governor-General appointed by His Majesty. This Governor-General should be appointed from among the residents of the Colony. The Candidate must have extensive legal knowledge, [bgcolor=#000]as well as loyalty toward the Kingdom[/bgcolor].

Secondly, [bgcolor=#000]the Parliament must immediately dissolved. After such a dissolution[/bgcolor], the colony should become an international mandate under the direct control of the Democratic Union. The DU council will oversee the writing of a constitution for the Colony. Two conditions must be maintained throughout writing of the constitution:

1. Personal union with Plembobria will be maintained.
2. The Upper House of the Hardisian Parliament must be elected or abolished.

After the completion of the constitution, another plebiscite must be held on it. If it is enacted it must go into effect immediately. Elections for the decided legislature must be scheduled. The constitution should have a clause that allows for a referendum to be held on personal union after a period of 6 months.

[bgcolor=#000]I must warn you that attempts to derail the execution of these plans will happen. The Bellrose Group is going to try to skew the results of the referendum in order to discourage intervention[/bgcolor]. We must be on guard and watchful for any forms of fraud.
