The Random Voter ID number cannot be disclosed per the Legal Code

Chapter 4, Section 4.3 of the Legal Code states that:

12. Private votes may be sent by private message to a forum account designated for that purpose by the Election Commissioners. In such an event, the Election Commissioners shall promptly announce that a vote has been cast privately and who that vote was cast for. The Election Commissioners may not announce any other details about the vote.

The random ID number is not a mention that a vote has been cast privately, and is not announcing "who that vote was cast for." Thus, by the plain language of this provision, "[t]he Election Commissioners may not announce any other details about the vote." The random ID number is another detail about the vote, and thus, its disclosure plainly violates the Legal Code.

In other words, the practice is illegal and should be promptly discontinued.

The ID isn't another detail about the vote. It says nothing about the vote or who cast it. It is only an extra identifying feature used to increase oversight over the Election Commissioners regarding private ballots.

Feel free to file a Court case if you believe the ECs are in the wrong. Otherwise, I will change nothing.

The random voter ID is a requirement of the ballot submitted by PM. Thus, the legal code prohinbits its disclosure.

It is right on point. No need for a court case. It is illegal to publish. And given the asserted reason for having it (to be disclosed), it becomes an unnecessary burden on the right to vote. (And by implication, violates Clause 10 of the Bill of Rights.)

Y'all wrote and adopted the current Election Law, it's about time you followed it to the letter, which this practice is not.

I will continue including Ballot ID numbers until ordered to do otherwise by the Court. End of story.

*closes his eyes, breathes deeply*

Simple solution: amendment to the legal code to allow for the current commission policy.
