I'm absolutely devastated.
At first i thought he was just unconscious so i rushed him to the vets but he said he was dead straight away without any hesitation. I was inconsolable and pleaded with the Dr to give me a second opinion so he got his dog to sniff it but he just whined and walked out the door looking almost as sad as me.
I was still incandescent at this stage so i begged and pleaded for another opinion so the resident veterinary nurse brought one of the stray cats in and used its feral instincts. She purred, meowed and pawed at the duck too but there was no sign of life.
I couldn't take anymore after that. I thanked the veterinarian for his time and patience at this difficult time but he made it worse as he tried to charge me £150. I didn't understand why as all he said was my duck was dead.
He said there was no bill until i asked for the cat scan and lab report
