Return to Ixelonia

No no no. The rebels would be a great plot point. If Cronaal wants them in then I, as the OP, shall bring them in. It won't change the story much.

Egh.. no. I agree with the others, too much rebel is bad rebel

The closest thing is just small hint towards the rebels previously visiting the area

...no?

Also, Cronaal, then forget the village being attacked. We can just try to escape and then have a chase sequence of some sort.

I believe simple badges and such being left behind by rebels is suitable. You really want some incorporation don't you Syrxia

@Cronaal Yes I do. It's BRILLIANT.

@Eumenor Nope. What are you hinting at?

@Nessuno YAY!

Nessuno:
I would prefere the mercenaries, but if you insist for the rebels ok.
I'm trying to say that there are mercenaries, no rebels.
The only form of rebels is via. small hints that they've previously explored the area.

Simply to please Syrixia and his strange involvement with anything to do with me.

Ok Croonal, what do you say Syrixia?

I think we should combine Cronaal's idea and mine- we find hints along the way to Al-Odubei that the rebels have been there and then once we get there and descend into the gold mine we find the rebels mining and we fight them and win.

YUS!!! Ok so, anything else we need to review before I start the RP? Also, is everyone here?

Those participating:

Kalti
Nessuno
Cronaal
Syrixia (OP)

Post if you're here. If you don't post by Monday you will be considered not interested in the RP anymore.
Also, this counts as my post.

So for this role play scenario, I will be utilizing the following people:
- Head Archaeologist Veldia [Archaeological Institute of Kalti]
- 4 Archaeologists [Archaeological Institute of Kalti]
- Legatus Lisia [Kaltian Reserves]
- 4 Praetor [Kaltian Reserves]

10 characters total, two named, eight unnamed

There will be a single Azkayii.
His name is Barqon sel Varrgh (The Azkayii language is slightly different)

Can I ask are there Neanderthals involved in the actual RP, or are there just remains? Because having Neanderthals in a RP is just a bit like having Fazbears - ridiculous.

The Spokesman of Eumenor:

They aren't exactly Neanderthals but they're like them. I'm thinking sort of like a hybrid between native Americans, native African tribes, and cavemen.

Also, I will be playing as:

Mickey Qalat, a Syrixian. Head Archeologist of the Syrixian Archeological Association and head of the expedition.

Shona Huiqour, a Syrixian. One of Mickey's two assistants.

John Chahak, a Maakani. The other assistant.

That's about 6 hours ahead of me, meaning you're in Europe.

Just curious, Cronaal: why do we need to know each other's time zones? How does that have to do with drafting an RP?

I tell you that i'm italian.

I know lol. But anyways, why do we need time zones on a drafting thread?

Ah ok. I have a focus issue so I tend to finish my homework late; thus I usually post around evening on weekdays. On weekends, I just post whenever I wanna :D

Anyways, I think we've planned enough. Shall I set up the thread? I feel like now is the best time as the RP subforum is a bit bare...

Update: I'm noticing (and am a part of) the whole Bootsie-entente-organization-y thing. It's gaining momentum, quickly. Perhaps we should include it in this RP, perhaps towards the end in an international press conference where we display the archeological stuff? I'm thinking of having some ancient relics very far down in the gold mines, as well as us breaking into a lava vein and a subsequent chase sequence.

I'm failing to understand why a modern city would have relics inside a gold mine in the middle of it.

Mmmh...better not.
Cronaal:

Because yes.

It would have relics because the gold mine goes far down; and because they haven't been found yet.

Syrixia:

Where would they come from.
There would in no way be a random temple that far deep, if you're speaking at the depths your appear to be.

No but many Ixelonians did bury the valuables they couldn't take in the farthest depths of the mine and then covered them up in a layer of stone.

The rebels could be digging for those when we find them.

And if instead the rebels were aware of the temple?

Where in that post was a temple mentioned? Ixelonia is a desert land; sparsely inhabited. No ancient civilization has ever lived or prospered there and only the modern Ixelonian civilization has actually prospered there; even that didn't last.

I was saying the valuables some people couldn't take would be buried below the deepest depths of the mine by the Ixelonians who were leaving, so no looters would come steal them.

I was proposing the rebels would be mining for them when our characters find them, and a fight ensues.

Anyways, what do all of you think of that idea?

Perhaps we could also incorporate the hunter-gatherer peoples who captured us and then got attacked by the rebels (which is when we escaped and helped defend the village before making a run for it) into the fight, perhaps they want to get their revenge on the rebels for attacking their village?

Ancient relics and items of fleeing people have no use to the rebels. The rebels care for advancement and peace in Cronaal.
I request they have no involvement, use a rival faction or such.

Then go back to my idea of the mercenaries?
