Delegacy Campaign Decalaration

Following discussions with my family, and on the urging of many friends and colleagues, I am declaring my intention to run in the January 2024 delegacy election.

Following the recent trend to declare intent as early as possible, i felt it was only fair to give people as much time as possible to digest the news.

Following Maxx's decision taken in 2018 not to maintain the game Nationstates there is, of course, no RMB to campaign on. But I will be campaigning on the forum, vidholo, and iSpeech app.

I hope to break the stranglehold that the Cosmo party has held on TNP since 2017, and I realise that this will be difficult since nowadays we welcome anyone at all to vote in TNP elections, whether part of the region at all, and therefore voters from the other pacifics and user created regions form the biggest voting bloc in our elections, but i trust that the number of years I have been in the region, plus the fact that I have not been in government for many years will count for something.

Any questions?

Did you prefer the Delegacy of Paulwallibertarianland, or the Delegacy of New Charlzilla, or the Delegacy of JhonsJoe? Which individual do you most look up to? Which of the aforementioned governments would you model your own Delegacy on?

What is your opinion of the Supreme Leader Falapatorius Delegacy so far?
Hey, by 2024 it could happen. Play your cards right, and you may get a plum appointment in my autocracy (purely symbolic of course, devoid of any real power). How does 'Minister of Infernal Affairs' sound?

Pardon the double-post.

On Topic: Flemingovia.. you seem to have reservations about cosmopolitanism in TNP. Personally, I see:

Pros::

1. It fosters an increased sense of community.
2. Encourages a 'world view', rather than a focus on regional/national interests.

Cons:

1. Regional interests are viewed through the prism of the 'greater good'.
2. Politically savvy individuals/blocs can effectively (albeit quietly) control numerous regions.

Can you elaborate further on your view of cosmopolitanism?

Are you still mad because I ejected you that one time and made a delegate decree that Libertarianism would be the only religion recognized in TNP upon the council of my legal advisors Romanoffia, Falapitorius, and though my vice Delegate Mall, strangely actually objected to it?

And post with a bit more refinery.

i think it is sad that these old timers block new nations from being delegate.

Since I have been out of government for so long, people do not realise that I have been in the region for twenty years.

The delegacy of Paulwall was unparalleled for its activity. Never have i seen so many postitions created, titles awarded or medals handed out.

the only thing that marred the delegacy was Paulwall awarded most of the aforementioned positions, titles and medals to himslef, spending the latter half of his delegacy polishing the medals and reminding people how important he was. It was sad, too, that the size of his signature broke the forum for over a week.

The delegacy of JhonsJoe was a bit of a disaster. He spent most of the time going round asking random people "what should I do?" "Will somebody please tell me what a delegate does?"

Sadly, he tended to listen to the first person who told him what to do, with disastrous results. We all remember what happened in 2019 when he made Romanoffia Prime Minister, and he had one of his little turns....

I do not remember the delegacy of New Charzilla. I was very drunk at the time.

Sadly, all the people i really look up to are long gone from the game, or at least from TNP. Nastic, Blackshear, Wilkshire, Thess, Poe ... we shall not see their like again. there is no delegacy from the era 2018 to date that I would model my delegacy on.

This deserves a longer answer than I can give it here, but here are some thoughts.

Cosmos tend to create stability, because they have relationships and links that cross borders. They can also bring insight and experience gained in other regions.

HOWEVER, in the recent period when so many of our prominent individuals have ties in other places, I have also observed TNP becoming more and more like ...well, any other region to be honest. Not everyone agreed with the identity TNP had in the old days, but at least it was distinctively ours. Now, i look at the major feeders and I think "Meh. All much of a muchness. Raid a bit, pretend that they defend... look alike, sound alike, speak the same language of "independence" when they really mean blandness."

OF course, now there will be a lot of cosmos posting to tell me how wrong I am. But this is how I see it.

Wow. You really are god of TNP you can see into the future!

True that.

I can agree it provides stability, but that could lead to stagnation. Dictatorships can be quite stable too. Just sayin. ;)

Do I get a torture chamber? :3
:npo:

Lord Nwahs:
Do I get a torture chamber?
Standard equipment. A state of the art facility incorporating out of the box techniques. Today's torture methods are for pansies.

(e.g.) A suspected subversive will be intravenously fed melted cheese while continuously being asked: "Who is John Galt?", and subjected to Flemingovian hymns being sung full volume by Justin Bieber.

I wish to announce my major campaign point: I will immediately on election sign an executive order (as allowed under the constitution adopted following the silly string coup) striking out the bill of rights clause 14.

I think we all agree this has been a disaster since it was adopted in 2019, and it is time a delegatetook. This step.

I'm in full support. The decision to add Clause 14 was the biggest mistake the Supra-Regional Assembly made.
