JhonsJoe Endorses: Syrixia for VD

Hello all, I am regional assemblyman and Assistant AG JhonsJoe. Today I endorse the Republic of Syrixia for Vice Delegate.

Why you ask?

Firstly, everybody (other than Syrixia) who is running for VD is a veteran. Perhaps someone new should get a high-ranking position.
Syrixia has the most posts as of this month in the RP forum. He is a VERY active person and is online everyday. He has been on NS about 2 months now. Now you may ask? Jhon, don't you think VD is a little too high a position for someone like that?

Well I'll tell you what, starting low doesn't always mean finishing at top. I think you need SOME experience to run for office, but that doesn't necessary mean governmental. Syrixia is part of the DU and in two ministries.

Sure, he hasn't been deputy speaker or AG or cabinet or whatever, but he has potential. He has HUGE potential for this region.

So how about we all vote a non-veteran. Just this one time.
 
If I were the one definining I'd say someone who has 1bil+ population is a veteran. Most of the candidates for VD are.

It really is a matter of perspective. When you compare COE to Democratic Donkeys, it is obvious who is more likely to be the 'veteran' in TNP. The idea that 1billion population = a veteran is absurd. If we were to stick to that rule, it would be very difficult for someone to achieve all that they'd like to in the region /before/ becoming a veteran and then they would have to step aside for newer people (which is what you seem to suggest should happen)

I was elected Delegate within my first year of playing this game (in 2012). I had to work very hard to get to that point. COE was elected Speaker in January, where I was elected at my first general elections. Again, through hardwork and a genuine desire to improve the region (and not just take office without having any goal in mind), we were able to convince voters to elect us into those respective roles.

I am seriously sick to death of this nonsense. In no other game created region, do new people and new players get as much opportunities as they do in the North Pacific. I would strongly suggest contributing properly and that you try to make a name for yourself instead of attempting to label people as an oligarch or a veteran as your only campaign ploy. It'd be better if you were actually presenting what your goals for the region were, and if you were actually contributing to the regional assembly in a rational and well-thought out manner.

Look at the newish names we have in the Cabinet - Tomb, Malvad. Not long before that Abacathea was elected Vice Delegate and served as Minister of WA Affairs, within a manner of months of being in the region. Lord Nwahs was elected Speaker after serving as Deputy. Kialga was elected to the court, with Huat making a strong showing in that election as well.

I think JhonsJoe's endorsement is more likely to hurt Syrixia than it is to help him. JhonsJoe has shown that he is not above lying or misleading voters in order to get himself closer to winning the election. I believe that Syrixia is far better than that, and that he wouldn't stoop to such a level.

When have members of the 'oligarchy' or 'IRCabal' posted fake votes in elections in order to rig the results? Who exactly participated in this?

You never answered that question JhonsJoe. But you were more than happy to make that bold claim when you were running for Attorney General.

When I saw this thread I had the thought "This actually hurts Syrixia" because of how poorly Jhonsjoe has comported himself in the short time he has been here.

Tomb is a great example of a new player who has had a meteoric rise in TNP. That is because he is dedicated, intelligent, competent, and extremely pleasant as a person.

Suffice it to say, the vd runs the security council and is a heartbeat from the delegacy. It is a position of great trust.
Trust is based knowledge and experience.
I do not know syrIxia well enough yet to trust him enough.

Plus, a man is judged by the company he keeps. JJ is a liar who makes wild accusations and insults people to get ahead. He accuses and then, when called out on it, has nothing to say. Anyone who embraces an endorsement by JJ has lost my vote.

Let's not forget Kialga, who joined at the beginning of September, giving them only two and a half months of TNP membership, and who tossed their hat in the ring for justice and was elected by a landslide. Not only did Kialga come in second place in overall votes, they actually were in first for at least half of the voting period.

This myth that "new people" can't get elected is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nobody deserves a position. Nobody is owed power. Whining incessantly about not being given any only cements most peoples' opposition to ever doing so, and utterly alienates people who are working hard to improve this region and who don't deserve to be badmouthed simply because they had the audacity to join before you did.

Stop acting like winning an election is something you deserve, and start acting like it's something you earn.

No, you made the claims in public. You should be equally prepared to respond to them in public. It is funny how you have ignored my comments and question once again.

You're just further demonstrating the type of campaigner you are, and therefore the type of official you would be if you were elected.

You post like a ten year old and have a history of telling lies, so you will forgive me if I treat this with a pinch of salt.
 
I'm gonna take a risk here and say this:

JhonsJoe, thanks for your nomination, but please from now on don't help me with my campaign.

And Flemingovia, what the heck are you doing in a thread about my campaign?

All in all, here's a sentence to sum it up:

Can someone delete this thread? I'm making my OWN; I will not stand for anyone, especially Jhon, doing the work for me.
 
You cannot disassociate yourself from a thread and then try to dictate what sort of discussion happens in it.

If JJ requests the thread is locked, Admin will consider it I am sure. It is not our policy to delete threads.
 
Then let JJ decide what he would like to do with this thread. I've made my own thread for questions. Hopefully it'll be less tense than this one.
 
I have a new thread for that. If possible could you all who read this thread post your questions there?

I doubt he will - which is a shame. Because every time he opens his mouth this issue will come back to bite him.
