China and House of Cards

I saw this article in the New York Times, which seemed worth posting here since we're celebrating House of Cards ourselves:

Typical Chinese government rhetoric, can't say much other than that.

I'm on the fence with this article.

While I do agree that the U.S. government is corrupt, I don't believe that it is corrupt as 'House of Cards' exaggerates it to be (the show's a drama after all). It is interesting seeing Mr. Zhao connect the show to real world events.

What I don't like is how Zhao concluded the article. Like, really? The "correct way"? The article slams Western corruption then goes off to say the Chinese government is better. I'm pretty sure Chinese corruption is on par with "Western corruption". Just the audacity Mr. Zhao has, it makes me frustrated.

TNP on the other hand is more corrupt then HoC.

I'll pay you Paul if you say that it isn't.
