Note to the Voting Booth

Abstention was spelled incorrectly. Also.. did my vote violate format protocols? Mall's ballot was different than mine.

I didnt make the thread. But I will correct the spelling. As an EC, I looked at the thread and its my opinion your ballot is acceptable and should be counted.

As long as it clearly has your TNP nation and the sections are visably kept seperate and legible as yours is. I think its okay. But the other ECs are certianly within their rights to overrule me.

Either format would be acceptable. There's nothing in the Legal Code about using the code function in the post options for a ballot, but it has been traditional for quite a while now.

On the other hand, color helps break up the black type, and makes the opening post easier to get through. Too bad the code function and the text color options are incompatible.

Oh okay. Once it was posted. I didnt want another EC to repost it by mistake. I figured once it was recorded on the vote thread which I did. I could clear it off the main inbox so another ec knows it gotten taken care of and not rerecord it by mistake. And put it in a may 2014 archive to go to if futher reference is needed.

Don't archive or open ballots yet. The counting spreadsheet has to be created, and with the nominations deadline and the eligible voter deadline being at the moment before voting opens, it can't be set up before hand. (A problem in the Code that ought to be fixed.) And there are several issues with the templates that need updating.
This EC member will look at the spreadsheet in the a.m. in my timezone.

Okay I didnt know. I logged on to fix the op per this thread and saw a private ballot cast and thought we had to prompty post it.

4.3.11
11. When a vote is cast by private message to an election commissioner, the election commissioner shall promptly post in the voting thread the fact that a vote has been cast privately, and shall inform the Assembly who that vote was cast for.

I thought I was following the law. By posting as soon as I saw it.

You are right PaulWall. You do need to post them as soon as you read them - or rather post them promptly.

Archiving them I'll leave up to you guys though ;)

If you discount my vote over some silly coding thing I will take you to the Courts for the rest of eternity.

As has been made clear the coding isn't an issue. The way it was edited, the colors for the office titles will transfer onto the cast ballots, which is fine. As was pointed out previously, the amount of text now needed to explain the voting needs a little color to break things up to make them more readable. I wish the Governing Documents would take on a little color, as well.
