Voting: January 2014 General Election

Voting is now open in this general election. Voting will be from (time=1389015300) to (time=1389447300), and only ballots submitted during that time will be counted. Voters are asked to use the below voting form:

Code:
[b]TNP Nation[/b]: NATION GOES HERE

[b]Delegate[/b]: < King Durk the Awesome | mcmasterdonia | Tim | Abstain >

[b]Vice Delegate[/b]: <Abacathea | Blue Wolf II | Democratic Donkeys | Geniva | Abstain >

[b]Speaker[/b]: < bootahilley 01 | Leekem | Zyvetskistaahn | Abstain >

The constitution requires the Delegate and Vice Delegate to be elected by a majority vote. Abstentions do not count against a majority. If no candidate receives a majority of the votes, there will be a 5 day runoff vote beginning within one day after this vote will have ended.

You may either vote publicly in this thread or submit your vote to The Voting Booth. Votes not submitted according to these guidelines are invalid. Ambiguous votes are invalid.

Important note: The Regional Assembly recently introduced a law (Legal Code, Chapter 4, Section 4.3, Clause 11) requiring the Election Commissioners to promptly announce private votes in the voting thread, including the candidate(s) the vote was cast for. For this reason, voters are discouraged from announcing, as was custom, that they have voted privately, as the subsequent public declaration by the Election Commissioners can potentially reveal how they voted.

Election Commissioners: r3naissanc3r, Reginald Carmichael.

We normally have 7 days for nominations and 7 days for voting. I haven't voted yet.

Have you seriously closed the voting?

The periods for declarations of candidacy and voting have both been shortened to 5 days, and the period for campaigning removed entirely, as a result of the passage of the All your election law are belong to us bill.
