Deputy Ministers

As Crushing Our Enemies has said, having a great deputy to back you up can make your job a lot easier. So we don't go stepping on each other's toes in the mad dash for deputies, I thought it might be a good idea for us to post who we might have in mind.

I'm going to wait and see how things goes before I decide if I need a deputy.

Most of my duties is a very collaborative/team effort anyway - the Regional Update is sourced together from different things written by different people (RA Digest, TNP Wire, Delegate Statements, Community Submissions etc.) and reports on regions will be undertaken by the respective TNP Ambassadors to the region.

I will be getting a whole lot of help from a wide source without the specific need of appointing any of these people my deputy so yeah, I'll probably hold off on it for a little while. That said, if someone actually approaches me with the hope of becoming a Deputy, I wouldn't dismiss them right off the bat.

After reading through some of the old posts from when McMasterdonia was defense minister, I will be sending a PM to all current members of The North Pacific Army (NPA) to gauge what direction they would like to go. I will probably ask NPA soldiers interested in serving as deputy minister to let me know.

I'ma wait until my organization comes more into focus. I think I'll be taking staff on anyway, so I don't want to pick someone until I know what I want from them.

The preferred option for me is to make it a team effort, allow people to have a say and get involved without becoming a Govt official

My work needs ideas and imagination and... you know, that kind of thing. I expected active people in the RMB to get more involved but it's like they want everything done.

So I knocked a couple of doors and I found people is not active or interested anymore in the little things but I got this friend Voronia to help me regarding RP. I'm offering the DM job to him/her cause I don't want to lose his/her interest and help.

I've appointed Geniva as deputy minister of defence. He has been active in the NPA since joining and has been eager to assist me with military sign-ups, missions, etc. Hopefully with his help I'll be able to focus less on administrative tasks and more on missions.

I have no idea if I want a DM. Am I obligated to take one on?

There is no obligation to hire a Deputy Minister.
