Help with Russian

I have a Russian Art Box with some writing on it. I need help translating it, please. These boxes usually depict a story or legend. I think the first photo has the title of the work and the second is the artist's name. Anyone?

GBM, I have some (very basic) language training in Russian, but unfortunately I can't make out some of the Cyrillic letters on the box. I wish I could be of more help!
