I have missed this thread, so here it goes.

You are allowed to either add, take away or change a letter in the word, but only ONE letter at a time. And your new word needs to be an actual word, not gibberish.

Guys, these are the rules for this game.
I think that it's being confused with the Last Letter -> First Letter game.
