Repeal "Liberate NAZI EUROPE"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: SC#109

Proposed by: Haminoea

Description: WA Security Council Resolution #109: Liberate NAZI EUROPE shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The Security Council,

Noting that the ultimate goal of Security Council Liberations is to protect the native populations of regions who have become a target of invaders and not instead to help those same invaders destroy said regions by removing the ability to password-protect themselves from the regions' native population.

Appalled that Security Council Resolution #109 seeks to corrupt and manipulate this Council as it is designed to remove the last line of defence against foreign aggression from a founderless region of barely 10 nations.

Recalling that NAZI EUROPE has been rendered to such a state by threats of invasion from the mentioned “readied militaries ” due to its absence of a founder whereupon it was forced to lock itself down to evade destruction. Plagued by the cessation of the existence of its citizens, NAZI EUROPE slowly decayed to the burned-out shell of a region that we know today.

Deducing that resolution #109 is just the conclusion to a plan by the owners of the mentioned “readied militaries” to destroy NAZI EUROPE by means of terrorism (the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims) that started long ago with the threats of the region's leaders and concluded with the passing of the resolution in question.

Condemning this misuse of the Security Council to resolve personal disputes between regions that are of no concern to the international community.

Applauding the overwhelming support of more than 40 nations who represent a wide spectra of political beliefs: from liberal to communist to authoritarian who have voluntarily come from many different regions and organizations to help NAZI EUROPE against the injustice imposed upon it by resolution #109.

Observing that NAZI EUROPE is now a peaceful region that has never given any reason to suspect that it is intolerant of any social groups or ethnicities.

Presenting the fact that any regions that NAZI EUROPE had previously controlled have long since been recaptured by their rightful owners:

Alliance of bolshevik states
Nazi Rehab
Anarchy and Socialist Utopia

Concluding that NAZI EUROPE is not a threat to the international community and that resolution #109 takes advantage of Security Council laws and conventions to help achieve aims contrary to that of the Security Council's purpose by aiming to finish off a helpless region and presenting little evidence to support this action other than prejudice against NAZI EUROPE's name.

Hereby Repeals: "Liberate NAZI EUROPE"

Please vote "For", "Against", "Abstain" or "Present".

As I will be voting in TEP and prefer to stick to one player one vote on all WA issues, I ask that my vote not be taken into account when deciding the TNP delegate's vote on this repeal, however, I would hijack this thread inasmuch as to advise all of my fellow members of the World Assembly, if they value their membership of that international body, to support the repeal of this "Liberation".

Abstain. The matter of this entire Liberation Resolution and its consequences are a weight that is not worth the North Pacific's time and energy overall.

Should I count your vote as 'Present' then? It means your vote won't effect the result.

Sorry - could you elaborate on this please? Why should we be voting for?

Because resolution SC#109 seeks to corrupt and manipulate the security council - for the reasons stated in the repeal, if you read it carefully - the liberation mechanism was designed to protect founderless regions such as this one, not to destroy them.

You of all people I can understand you voting against, because your priority has to be the NPA. If I was MoD I would probably be voting against like you are. When I was in the NPA I voted for Cormac's proposal - but not on principled grounds - when I was in the NPA I supported the proposed NE liberation last year as a WAR BY OTHER MEANS. I supported it in order to raid NE. The ends do not justify the means. I was already aware that it was unjustified and unprincipled and I'm not sure if you are, or not.

Essentially, the liberation mechanism is being used to target a group and that's not what the Security Council should be about. If you do not respect what the Security Council is for, then you do not deserve its protection. This is fine for you because our own founderless region is not under attack. It's fine for you because you have allies who will work with you. There is no WA police coming to get you.

I have no issue, generally, with using the endorsement system to destroy founderless regions, but abusing the Security Council is just not on. I know I have a minority view here but I think it's pretty obvious that SC#109 is tyranny by majority, an aberration that devalues the SC and should be repealed.

Voted against. I'd like to note that I'd personally vote For this resolution, but I will always follow the vote here.

Well reasoned and logical. Thank you for elaborating.

I don't agree but thank you anyway.

How is it abuse or corruption to use the SC for its own stated purpose - "Spreading interregional peace and goodwill, via force if necessary"?

Because the mission of the SC is not to cleanse the world of Nazis any more than it is to cleanse the world of anything else?

If you think that SC#109 falls within the purpose of the SC then do you think it's within the purpose of the SC to destroy any region that the SC deems worthy of destruction?
