I have been thinking about this for a while and I think it could be a good way to generate more activity and to tap into a new area of TNP.

My ideas are as follows

-Keeping it simple. The previous university of TNP seemed to get bogged down in protocol and legal codification. There is no need for this to occur. We can let it develop on it's own for a while, and if necessary at a later date include it into law. Similar to how the NPA played out.
- Have it's organizational work ran by a Dean appointed by the Delegate. None of the Council of Regents crap that used to exist (or whatever it was called)

Priorities for it would be:

- Regular discussions of ongoing real live events of political, economical, scientific (whatever nature)
- Other academic discussions of interest - history etc
- Allow for the sharing of works. People can share research papers or their opinions on a given area that interests them freely and without restrictions
- Organizing guest lecturers to give lectures at the university, this could include non-citizen guests, foreign envoys, or our own citizens

The University could also work on developing a legal exam, or other educational documents for diplomacy, and any other relevant aspect.

Thoughts/Ideas/Suggestions?

I personally think that we should also include classes as such - Classes on WA proposal writing, R/D, roleplay, forum etiquette, TNP law - all would be interesting and worthwhile.

Also I think it would be a good idea to give the Ministry of Culture & Entertainment some part in the running.

Also something to add in to my opening post, would have mean the historical record keeping and maintenance of the Wiki of The North Pacific.

Classes is a good idea. I'm not sure how I feel bringing R/D into the mix. If they are to be educated in such, perhaps the army should be the place for that?

TNP Law definitely. Forum etiquette is an interesting one - care to elaborate?
RP certainly a possibility. It would be good if from the classes we could develop more specific FAQ's that could be placed in the specific areas of the forum they relate to.

Kingborough - with respect, the Ministry of Culture and Entertainment already has quite a significan workload as it is. We need to develop that ministry first before we expand it's responsibilities to the University as well.

My preference would be for the Dean to be primarily responsible for the Universities running. Delegate and Council would certainly be involved in maintaining it and keeping it active, as would other citizens. I'm not keen on putting it firmly in one ministries responsibility at this stage.
