Kingborough For Vice Delegate & Co6

KINGBROUGH
For Vice Delegate and Co6

*waves*. Hello people - I am Kingborough, incumbent Speaker of the Regional Assembly of the North Pacific and today I am here to stand for election as Vice Delegate of TNP and for the Council of Six.

My Background:
I joined the North Pacific in August, and have held Regional Assembly membership that entire time. In September I was elected to Speaker, and have held that post since. I have also served the North Pacific has a member of the North Pacific Army, where I am a corporal and have also served as co-election commissioner with McMasterdonia for the Judicial Elections that just passed. Outside TNP I have founded an active roleplayer region, and have served in all sectors of government as a Court Justice, Prime Minister, Cabinet Minister, Member of Parliament and member of the royal family in various regions.

My Military Stance:
I will be honest now and state that I am a non-griefing raider and bi-gameplayer, holding membership in the Cat Burglars. I do not condone griefing and imperialism, and will reflect that in my actions on the Council of 6. I do not think that is a path TNP should ever follow and I would support the continuation of the present state of affairs where the NPA is primarily a defender army.

My Preferred Ministry:
I would like to stand as Minister of Foreign Affairs, however I will work for the region in whatever area of the Co6 the Delegate pleases. I think I can do a good job with Foreign Affairs, as I am active and able to commit time to opening new relations with The North Pacific and am already integrated with multiple communities.

Activity:
I am an active member of the region, often on IRC and the forums for most of the daytime in my area. Therefore I have time to commit to the job.

Vice Delegate:
Presently my nation in the North Pacific is in the top 12 most endorsed nations, and has already collected a significant amount of influence which would assist in the timely changeover of Vice Delegate. Additionally I am active and have time to endo-swap in a swift and timely manner, and having experience as both a defender and raider I have a head start on non-gameplay aligned players in having experience in watching for threats.

Please ask your questions now :)

I mean, with your level of experience, I think you would make a very good assistant to our current regional delegate! :)

Why do you feel that your experience both here and elsewhere makes you a good candidate? How will that experience help you as Vice Delegate/Minister? Can you be committed to having your WA nation tied down for an extended period, when you may want to have a mobile WA nation? What would you like to achieve as a Co6 member and as Vice Delegate?

And finally, my standard question: Why shouldn't I vote for you? Everyone has weaknesses, so what are yours?

My experience with gameplay I believe can benefit me in assuring the security of the region as Vice Delegate. As a Minister I feel my experience in writing legislation for regions and for implementing policy can help me as an executive minister.

I can certainly commit to having my WA tied down. I have no present need for it on the field and I've already had it tied down for nearly a fortnight without trouble. I may even dabble in SC matters soon, which having a stable actually WA helps with.

In regards to why shouldn't you vote for me? I will be honest and say that I am sometimes not political enough for my own good which I've found seems to effect certain peoples opinion of me - I say my mind instead of shutting up and playing the power games. I've had enough experience with that real life in societies and clubs to get sick of the pettiness, so I never have had much patience with it.

What are your current positions in Nysa or other regions? How would that affect your ability to serve in TNP?

Also, if made Foreign Affairs Minister, what would your priorities be?

You seem to hold a lot of positions throughout Nationstates. Being Vice Delegate and a Minister is demanding on your schedule. How would you deal with that? Can we be assured that you will have enough time to carry out these duties?

Certainly, I presently have to do quite a bit as Speaker and taking into account that I would no longer be Speaker I would have plenty of time to do my duties in those areas.

I am currently Prime Minister of the Empire of Oceania, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Iceland, Founder and Vice President of Nysa, Minister of Defense and Fursti of Asgardia, as well as Lord Associate Justice of the British Isles.

I don't think my positions would effect my ability to serve in TNP, I already hold a time consuming job in TNP and as I would no longer hold that I would have even more free time to serve the region.

In regards to Foreign Minister, I would like to see us actively acquire embassies instead of waiting for people to come to us (in most cases), especially with the larger UCRs. I would also like to see us consider further treaties with compatible regions - such treaties were invaluable during our change over of delegate following the recall and it would be good to strengthen present ties with treatied regions and look into treaties with other GCRs.
