So... I cannot connect to the internet. It is kaput.

Internet explorer asks me if I want to run Microsoft diagnostics.

YES! PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG!

It whirrs, it clicks, cogs turn, and it tells me.

"Your problem is that you cannot connect to the internet.

:headbang:

I had IE then changed to FireFox, then I changed to Chrome... Opera was always my second option, it was always there when others failed. So I gave it the chance... Of being my default browser, and now I'm very happy with it.

It's kind of, like that nerdy kid who always supported you, while you fucked the whole football team... Bah I digress, I 've just watched Kiss Kiss Ban Bang again...

Anyway, Opera 4ever. Best browser ever, even if it doesn't seem so xD

I hate it when a diagnosis is exactly what the initial problem is in the first place.

Micro$loth is famous for this.

Problem: Can't connect to the internet.

Diagnosis: You can't connect to the internet.

Final conclusing: No shit.

Depending on your version of Windoz (which will determine how arcane the process is), you essentially have to locate your network connections and make sure you have the proper connection(s) checked as the default connections.

Also, you have to make sure that:

1: Your security settings in Windows or IE haven't randomly changed (which is a common occurrence), and

2: No Windows update has nulled out your personal settings.

Which means one should always have the ability to either dual boot or boot to an alternative operating system a safeguard for when Windows periodically effs up. :P
