Amendment to the Constitution

Abbey makes some cogent points, but it is worth pointing out that this proposal does not actually change anything. it just gives the Regional Assembly the right to change something.

Now I realise that this is a fearful thing, and the Regional Assembly ought to be prevented from doing silly things. But that is all this proposal does.
 
Maybe this sentence protects the residents of the region's freedom to make their own decisions regarding the R.A., which it does, and prevents the imposition of a oppressive will about W.A. membership, which it also does.

If you want to look at other solutions, they're out there if you think about it hard enough. And ones that do not withdraw liberties already under the protection of the Bill of Rights.
