The quota of votes in this elections happened to be 17 – this is calculated using the Droop quota, which is the total number of votes, divided by the number of seats + 1, with 1 added at the end (97 votes, 5 seats – 97/6 + 1 = 17.1667 – rounded down).
At round 1, Eluvatar and McMasterdonia won seats, as the count of votes with them as the first choice was above the set quota for each of them. Their votes above quota were redistributed, in proportion to the second choices of all that voted for them as their first choice.
At round 2, nobody “new” is above the quota, so the person with the lowest number of votes is eliminated (Venico), and their votes redistributed similarly to the way the winners' were – all votes sent proportionally to their voters' next highest choice.
At round 3, there is still nobody new over the quota, so the person with the lowest number of votes remaining is eliminated (Kingborough) and his votes redistributed.
At round 4, again nobody has more votes than the quota, so the next person with the lowest votes (Queen Ravenna) has her votes redistributed.
At round 5, yet again nobody has more votes than the quota, so the lower vote count candidate (Pasargad) is knocked out, and his votes transferred.
At round 6, there is still no candidate with more votes than the quota, so the least voted candidate (KiwiTaicho) is struck out, and his votes redistributed.
At round 7, there still isn't quite anyone with more votes than the quota, so the next least voted candidate (Govindia) is taken out and his votes passed out.
At round 8, there is finally a person with more votes than quota (Tim) and he is elected and his meagre surplus transferred.
At round 9, no one new makes quota so the least voted remaining candidate (Prince Windsor) is eliminated and his votes cut over to the last three candidates proportionally.
