Censorship

No, I don't think it's censorship, I think the height of your pole was simply in violation of local zoning codes.

Also, since when are you appointed Foreign Minister? I did not see BW making such an announcement?????

Blue Wolf announced it in #tnp. Didn't you see it?

Flem, I hope that wasn't a deliberate asshole remark.

No I didn't see it, and yes I will question the legality of an appointment over IRC since he didn't make any announcement here.

Hell he still hasn't explained why he went absent for so long which caused the original recall to begin with!

Oh, oh my gosh that's great. :P Bahahaha. XD

ooooh. Questioning legality. that is my department!!!!!!

Yep, it's legal. There is no mandated procedure for announcing appointments. he could write his list of appointees on a post it note and stick it to Max's behind and it would be legal.

(this legal opinion was brought to you by the campaign to elect Flemingovia. Just as sample of the swift, clear and decisive legal opinions you can expect from the sharpest legal mind in the region .... me!!!)

Blue Wolf II:
What was the pole on?
The poll was on whether Polish names should end in "ski" or "sky" given that "tobaggon" is too many letters.

Actually, this was the pole I posted:

There is no legal requirement that the delegate make any sort of announcement anywhere for appointments. Since BW isn't telling people he didn't appoint them then it is safe to assume that he did indeed ask them to take their respective jobs and they agreed.

assumptions are never good to make.

In the interests of transparency I am formally requesting the Delegate address the concerns mentioned above.

The short and sweet of it is: I don't have to. The long of it is: it was a personal matter.

As far as the appointments are concerned, once again, I don't have to publicly announce them at all; chances are you wouldn't read the post even if I did. Progress is being made regardless and the law is being followed, if you don't personally like my style, then don't vote for me. Its remarkable how that whole "democracy" thing works.

Actually you owe the region an explanation as to why your absence was longer than announced since you caused a constitutional crisis here.

And in the interests of public disclosure for the region, since the forums and WFE are the regions official forms of communication, yes you're expected to make the announcements public.

Firstly, I didn't cause a "Constitutional crisis" unless you call a legal attempt at a Recall a "crisis". Secondly, I could go into long details about the Irish wake I attended and even longer details about my commitment to my county's military, but like I said before, its a personal matter and that's that.

I would welcome details abou the Irish Wake. I went on one about 20 years ago, but by the end of the evening was so drunk I have no recollection at all as to what happened, so I would love to know what goes on at one.

That being said, everyone - even a delegate - has a right to a private, real life. So perhaps it is best to let it lie, eh?

Well Irish wake aside, had you simply mentioned you had military service to do, I am sure we would all accept that and appreciate your service. I know other NSers who have gone away for extended periods who actually COMMUNICATE such things without going into unnecessary detail.

My other point about the announcements still stands.
