I bought a dustbin

I bought a dustbin. It cost £24.99.
Before I bought it, I did some research online.
I looked at prices.
I looked at reviews (yes, there really are people out there who write reviews of dustbins)
I went out and bought my dustbin.
I like my dustbin.

That is not my rant.

My rant is that now, having bought my dustbin, every single website I visit has banner ads for more and more dustbins.

Now, Having bought my bin, on what planet do I need advice on more bin purchases? Where were those banner ads when I needed them? oh no. Back then I got ads for viagra and stomach reduction tips for $4 a week.

Now it is all bins. Everywhere I look.

Rant over.

Presumably because they were the things you bought before the dustbin?

Hey, Flem - delete the cookies in your browser on a regular basis. The targeted banner ads will change (probably back to Viagra and stomach reduction...).

Oh, and never use Internet Explorer for web browsing - when you delete cookies, it only deletes the 'markers' of those cookies in the cache. The actually cookies reside in another cache that is designed to simply re-apply that data stored in your browser should those same cookies ever get loaded up again.
