I'm aware the upload size is fixed, but would it be possible for a dimensions increase for avatars to 150x150?
 
Actually, it can be changed in Preferences .. profile.

A size up to 250x250 is allowed.

we could make the kb size up to 10kb larger too.
 
I'm bumping this thread up. Would a small increase in avatar sizes be possible? In addition to increasing upload size to 35kb?
 
The avatar size is also a function of how wide the web browser pages are for Zetaboards forums and wider avatar images would probably create more problems for more people in using the forums; it is one reason why we have a limit on graphics in signatures.

If a larger image size is that important try seeing if the current signature image limit accomodates the desired image, it may be that using the image is all that you need.
 
The dimensions are remaining at 130px by 130px for the time being.

We are exploring uploading up to 200Kb sized avatars to the avatar gallery for members who ask nicely.

If they create bandwidth problems for people, they should complain here.

If you want an avatar and have not been able to squeeze it in to the user-upload 35kb limit, please ask here and we will try to help.
